My Philosophy on Cooking.

I have been cooking three meals a day for 50 years. We rarely eat out and have always had a summer vegetable garden in our back yard.

I make a weekly grocery list with a seven day menu plan.  It might get changed around a bit depending on other activities that come along during the week. But for the most part I cook what is planned.
How I learned to cook

I usually cook enough for four people.  Sometimes my granddaughters come for dinner.
All the printable recipes are from my favorite cook books.  Some are old fashion cooking from the early 1960's to modern Weight Watchers cookbooks.  I love to cook and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  2. Hi Betty, I was looking over your yummy menus and wondering what Dutch Crunch means, and then I saw that cookbook! So you were busy and burned it? I guess we all had to learn that first year of marriage! I burned the chicken once. Absolutely black and crispy! I don't think I've ever had persimmon. But the funniest part of this is your bad habit. Ha ha!! Yes, I am very familiar with that one and it is the biggest no-no with all the diets! Have a nice week! Linda

  3. It's so nice to have inspiration and ideas from someone else who cooks three meals a day. And for 50 years, I'm impressed! I'm now following you as a Linky follower, thanks for stopping by my blog earlier today.
