What I Can Do With Lemons

Hello Everyone!

Today is a sunny day in California.
I have some Lemons in a sunny yellow color.  While visiting my mother for her 90th birthday a few weeks ago.  I picked some lemons from her tree.

As usual I want to show you what I did with the big bag of Lemons we brought home.

I Love Lemons

Because I'm going to England in June I thought I would practice making Lemon Curd and Scones.

I started with the beautiful large fresh lemons from my mother's tree.

My Cozy Corner "Best Ever Lemon Curd"

"Blueberry Buttermilk Scones"
I had two hearts on this plate, but when I got up this morning Sweetheart was eating one of them.  LOL  I also made two bunnies  and a few  round ones too.

I loved the beautiful Lemon Angel Food cake 'StoneGable' made last week.  I took her tip and made one also.... I used a Angel Food Cake Mix and added 1tbs.fresh strained lemon juice with the water that was added to the mix before beating until fluffy.

Now we can't have scones without tea and lemon~

A little sugar with our tea~

And some cream too~

After visiting London for a few days, Three Ladies Go Traveling will ride a train to Scotland. I'm so excited to sit next to the window looking out at the English countryside drinking tea and eating cookies at a table with a little lamp on it and enjoying every moment of the experience.

It's so nice to have a yellow vintage linen napkin to dab the crumbs.

I made Four jars of Lemon Curd.  One jar for Sweetheart's breakfast.  One jar for my granddaughters tea party this weekend.  I have some unbaked scones in the freezer. I will bake the scones when the girls arrive so the scones will deliciously warm.  One jar I made as a gift for my mother.  I will take scones and curd for a tea party when we visit next month. And the last jar wrapped as a gift I gave away as a birthday gift to one of my dear friends.

My Tea Set is called ' the Winrose Collection' I bought it at a little tea shop years ago.

A gift wrapped little jar of Lemon Curd

A handmade card for my friend's birthday.
The rose is from my garden.  'Graham Thomas'

  2. What beautiful photos! A feast for the eyes. It would be so cool to pick lemons off a tree; had my fill of picking apples, peaches and cherries as a child. Looking forward to your England photos, have fun!
