My Cozy Corner's Living Room

More Fall Color on the Table Tops

Today I was playing with my Cannon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm and I captured these photos.
I thought I would share My Cozy Corner with you.

We have the front door entrance right into our living room.  When we built the addition  in 1970, sweetheart and I had no idea what we were doing design wise. See Then and Now post. Here.
The love seat is where our daughter sits and visits her dad. And you can see the corner of sweethearts recliner and the Candy Table next to the chair.
My sweetheart made the little table in his freshman year of high school (1956)

I love copper and have collected a few things that I display in the kitchen and dinning room. This strainer was lucky and was moved to the living room for fall and is sitting on the table in front of the fireplace.
My Cozy Corner is cozy and comfortable for a couple of Old Fogies.
'Old Fogie'
An older or elderly person, or someone younger who resembles or has the traits of an older/elderly person in thinking, actions or demeanor.  "He went home from the party at 9 p.m.  What an old fogie!"

We live a simple life with wonderful family, great food and a beautiful garden to enjoy.

Of course blogging, photography, gardening and cooking keep me very busy. And now with my part-time job at Tuesday Morning I'm hopping for an old fogie.

The weather is warmer today so I picked some 'Sedum' album, Chrysanthemums and Zinnias.
I put them in the metal flower container I use to bring flowers in the house for arrangements.

The candy dish and candle are sitting in front of the love seat.

Faux fruit and faux candles in DS hurricanes have a nice fall feeling on the long table top.

The black lamp was dark blue until sweetheart painted for me and I love my new finial from Tuesday Morning

I purchased this lamp 47 years ago.  It sits on a table between Sweetheart's recliner and mine.

This is a photo of my large sofa and our dog... Not Real.  Any stranger coming into our home takes a second look!!! And my recliner with my throw to cover up in the evening while watching our favorite TV programs.  Just what old fogies do.

I collect L.E. Smith Glass in the Moon and Star pattern.

The 'Mums' are just in the bud stage and hopefully by Tuesday they will be in full bloom.

Well now you know the rest of the story~We are ready for a fire in the fireplace.  The wood is stacked on the front porch ready to bring in and put in the wood can.  Books to be read and Fall leaves to be raked.

~I love to close a post with a mosaic~

  8. Beautiful!! And I especially love your Moon and Star candy dish. I am due to inherit my grandmother's clear, colorless version that she collected for many years... many years ago! I'm so into fall colors that your amber dish caught my eye.
