Hello everyone,
June is in full swing today. So far this month I celebrated my
77th. Birthday. This teacup was a gift from my oldest son and his
family a couple of years ago as a birthday gift.
The flowers on the teacup look similar to my peonies. Speaking of
peonies, The peonies in this bouquet are the last peonies of the season.
They don't last very long, but what a joy they bring to my heart.
Every bloom reminds me of my mother. These are my
mother's plants I transplanted in my yard in 2012 after her passing.
The next exciting event was our third granddaughter graduating from
high school with honors and being accepted to a University
in California starting in the fall.
Shall we celebrate with a cup of tea? Yippiee.
Moving on to the next exciting event for June was
attending the wedding of our first granddaughter. What a beautiful
wedding and fun party celebrating the bride and groom with
dancing and photos of our entire family (16 so far) and
our second granddaughter is planning her wedding.
Now, remember today is only June 13th. I still have more exciting news.
Do you see the Eiffel Tower next to the teacup?
Well, I am going to Paris for a week on vacation.
Paris has been on my bucket list for years and
I am so excited to be going with my daughter
and two of my granddaughters. We are going
to experience Paris in all its glory.
I don't know how I am doing all this at my age,
but I keep putting one foot in front of the other
and move forward. I am truly blessed.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
I have six months finished for my 2019 calendar.
Every time I look at June, I will be reminded of
the whirlwind of activities I enjoyed.
I will keep you posted on Instagram.
Joyously,
Betty

Happy Belated Birthday, Betty! This month has been full of celebrations. I'll have to follow you on IG so that I can live vicariously through your travels in France. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled for you you and your planned trip to Paris. In 1999 (before 9/11) I spent a week in Paris staying in the Latin Quarter. It is situated on the left bank of the Seine, around the Sorbonne. I was in walking distance of many major tourist sites like Notre Dame Cathedral and Louvre Museum. Also, went to Monet Gardens. Of course Eiffel Tower and Montmartre. I saw so many wonderful places and ate in some fabulous restaurants. I had been living in England for three months and I travelled alone (long story) even though I don't (but wish) speak French. I felt very safe in that it was before 9/11. The trip remains a highlight of my life. I wish you a grand and glorious and safe trip. Your Peonies look fabulous. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, dear friend you look way younger then 77 ! Blessings to you and keep well as you are now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trip to Paris you are going to have. It's been a long time since I haven't gone to Paris, as our daughter Alexandra lives in Madrid, that's where we stay, but next time we go we are planning to.
Have a wonderful and memorable trip.
Happy birthday again.
