Tablescape # 34

'Acorns are Falling in the Garden'
Hello Everyone
Welcome to My Cozy Corner in the Garden

It's always a pleasure to join the wonderful parties for some tea and sun.
The links are at the end of this post.
The Chrysanthemum's (mums for short)  are blooming.  I have a cluster in the garden and they are a sweet amber color with a touch of most Autumn colors we think about when decorating our home.

Settle back in a chair and enjoy some tea.  I baked some acorn cookies for my cake decoration class and I thought you would like one with tea. My cake decorating reveal is later this month.  I have three more classes before I show my stuff!!!
Oh Yes~ The class is wonderful.  I wish I had taken a cake decorating class years ago.  Oh well~ Better Late than Never...

My dear friend who gave the Tea Party last month gave me these adorable acorn spoons.  They are just perfect to use for sugar in Tea.

Yesterday the weather was just so stormy and today the weather is beautiful.  I wanted to bring out my Old English Tea Pot and reminisce about the wonderful experience I had visiting England this summer.  My Great-Grandmother brought this tea pot from England in 1914. When she crossed the Atlantic and  brought her family to America.  Go Here for the story of the Old English Tea Pot.

God Bless! Granddaughters.  My granddaughter spotted these white Johnson Brothers cups and saucers in a thrift store this summer while I was playing around trying on a dress.  A set of six for $3.00 dollars. I kiss her every time we have Tea with them.

I bought the plates at the DT and the napkins I found for a song at TJ Maxx.

I placed the tea table under the Pomegranate Tree.
They are going to be ready to pick soon.

When the Pomegranates are ripe, Sweetheart will squeeze them into juice and I will be making Pomegranate jelly for Christmas gifts.  Everyone just loves the uniquely flavored homemade jelly.

I say " We can't have to many angels around"  I brought this little beauty out from the guest bathroom.

  1. Morning Betty, what a lovely relaxing place for tea. I love the acorn spoons, I have never seen anything like them before, I want some!! but the angel I had one identical, I gave it to a neighbour as she collects anything cherubic or angelic. Your tablescape is fairly minimalistic but tells me so much and what a lovely warm, welcoming person you are without too much fuss, a person and place where you could really relax and enjoy the ambience and friendship. As you can guess I love it and am glad I became a recent follower.
