Pink and White Tea Time

Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a pleasant week. I have been busy working in the garden. My Camellia tree is blooming like crazy...To see my tree go HERE.
The Camellia is called "Pink Perfection" my tree is over 40 years old and still growing beautifully.
On Monday afternoon the UPS delivered my Churchill tea pot, sugar and creamer. I set a tea time on the bed in the guest bedroom, I took some photos of the entire room and I will share them with soon.  But for now Tea Time.
I have dreamed of this tea pot for about five years.  I finally bought it on ebay. I love ebay.
I'm using my silver tray and a vintage crochet doily and my great-grandma's teaspoon and my mom's crystal vase.

After working in my garden planting the rose bushes I bought in February. I would love to take some time and enjoy a cup of tea and then take a long nap,
This flower is Perfection...♥
Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for visiting.
Joyously,
Betty

A Valentine Cookie for You♥

Hello everyone,
I baked some Valentine cookies for you and I would love if you would sit awhile and enjoy some tea, cookies and the pleasure of a camellia bouquet from my garden.
I love to bake.  The valentine cookies are sugar cookies with a powdered sugar glaze and sprinkled with red and white candy decorations.
February is the month I have the most beautiful camellias blooming.
Debutante and Pink Perfection...
Tea and cookies under glass.
The napkins are in the shape of hearts and vintage loose tea spoons are ready to steep in hot water.
The weather is warm this week. We had a week of rain and now it's feels like spring outside. I have a post next week with some fun garden things to show you. But today, tomorrow and Saturday it's all about the romantic day.
Valentine's Day
I think the cupids on the vase are reminiscent of the romantic day.
Happy Valentine's Day

Have a wonderful weekend.

Betty

Angel Tea Time

Hello, my dear friends
Welcome to My Cozy Corner. February is my favorite month and
on February 14th. 1960 my sweetheart and I were engaged.
We have a LOVE STORY and you can read it  HERE
I'm such a romantic and angels remind me of TRUE LOVE.
Please join me for a cup of tea and a delicious cookie on a rainy February day.
A dear friend gave me this beautiful set of Fostoria 'American' salad and dessert dishes. I knew the instant she handed me the dishes what kind of tablescape  I was going design. My lace tablecloth and pink transferware was part of my vision.
A little cherub vase and my 'Perfection' Camellias make the most romantic statement.
The delicious Almond Crescent cookies are on an American salad plate.
While at the thrift store I found two cherub napkin rings to complete my tea table.
My Ironstone tea pot is also a delightful addition to tea time.
Adding my grandmother's silver tea spoons. The little spoons traveled to America 100 years ago (1914) on a ship from England.
I ran outside to pick the camellias in the rain. Hopefully you will see a rain drop or two on the flower petals.

Little Bits of Holiday Cheer!

Hello Everyone,
I have a confession to make. I missed some great parties during this 2012 holiday season.
I'm here to give you the rest of the Holiday Cheer around My Cozy Corner.
My sister sent this beautiful wreath to Sweetheart and I to hang on our porch.
and
I found this paper church at yes! TM.  It fit wonderfully under the white feather tree this year...
A little outdoor snow scene under the feather tree this year.
The ice skaters are from our old train display. When our children were small we had a complete model train and a town displayed under our Christmas tree each year. The skaters were part of the scenery.
These golden reindeer were under the feather tree last year. This year they are pulling Santa's sleigh.
The steam locomotive was part of the train display in the old days.
Ready for Tea? RED AND SILVER~Wow!
The little church, tiny Christmas trees and deer are from the old train display. I've had everything in a box for over 35 years. It was great fun getting the miniature decorations cleaned up and painted.
I love Red this year in the dinning room. A vintage wall hanger is so handy to decorate.
I have a few angels in the living room and a vintage clock. Reminds me of the 18th century.
Oh my goodness it's an 18th century Seth Thomas Clock!
My little tree in the living room
I have the side board set for Tea with a box of English crackers to pop at Christmas Dinner.
A pair silver candle holders my sister and I gave my mom and dad for their 25th Wedding Anniversary
Just a cozy spot to read in the living room.
Hi Santa: You are so cute sitting in your sleigh.
He really is an old stocking holder our children had when they were small. He just fit into the sleigh perfectly.
Santa looks real comfortable sitting with gold glittery ornaments and some pine cones around him.
A little dish display...
Thanks for visiting My Cozy Corner.
I have a few more holiday posts and we will rocking into the New Year.
What an interesting year 2012 has been. Great Joy and Great Sorrow.
Telling stories ( I promise, I didn't lie) and enjoying my family and friends.

~My Dish Collection*2012~

Hi, Everyone
This week I'm celebrating my birthday.  My birthday is  Sunday, June 3, 2012.
I wanted to share some of my gifts to me that I have been collecting since I retired in February 2007... Just 5 years and I have collected a lot of stuff.
Some of my favorite tea cups.
The Big Question is?
Where do you keep it all?
Well!

This photo is 2011

I love my blue and white dishes.
This cabinet was used in the early days for a set of  encyclopedias.
But my husband sold them all because he said "Now my wife knows everything. " LOL
It now  holds my precious dish collections
To See 2011 post go Here

2011
As I have said before! I keep it everywhere.

The Blue and White dishes got bumped from the cabinet over the television set.  And now I have them displayed on top of the cabinet that holds the tea cup and saucer collection.

I also keep my cake pedestal plates on this cabinet too.

Some dishes hang on the wall

And, now my new favorite Pink and White dishes are in the cabinet (where the encyclopedias were).

I made a red toile heart to match my dishes and I love the cloches and white soup tureen in the mix.

I know! Enough already...

This set of dishes are especially nice in the fall.
I was so happy to find a place setting for 8 at the antique store for only $35.00
I love to go antiquing.

The top of the china cabinet is a great place to store these less used dishes.

Just a tiny view of our dining area

Well, that's all folks! I hope you have enjoyed your visit to
