Tablescape # 60 Blue and White and Geese?

 Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my last Blue and White showcase for January 2013.
I've enjoyed showing off my Blue and White this month.
The weather in Northern California has been beautiful this past week, and
I've been in the garden pruning, transplanting and designing the pergola area.
If your new to my blog Go Here for the story of My Secret Garden.
Now it's Blue and White Time.
A photo moment!  The orange bow was perfectly in line.
I just couldn't help myself. The camera made me do it.
This tablescape was a gem to create.
I've been collecting this and that for this tablescape just about a year now.
The Salad Plate is Sango 'ATHENS '8872 CHINA
Pink tulips are from the local grocery store.
What a great resource to have beautiful fresh flowers in the winter months for under $10.00 dollars.
The White Geese napkins rings were my inspiration for this tablescape.
I couldn't resist buying these white cut work place mats at TM, and using them as napkins.
The White Goose I found at the GW. The white flatware was purchased at Walmart for $10.00 dollars.
This tablescape could be the one of those thrifty tablescapes I do once in awhile...
The Blue and White dinner plates were .99 cents each at the GW.
'The Spode Blue Room Collection 'British Flowers-Poppy' First Introduced c. 1831
If you have ever been to England you will see fields of red poppies growing all over the English countryside.
Amazing beauty.
I used another Sango 'ATHENS' 8872 for my chargers.
The white plates were my mother's everyday  dishes.
I love the smaller white cup and saucer. They have no markings and they also came from my mother's home.
Truly a beautiful sight. I love tulips especially white ones. This bouquet has a delicate touch of pink.

The cordial glasses or "pony" glasses are also from my mother's estate. I'm so grateful
I have so many beautiful things that belonged to my mother.
 A couple of interesting pieces.
A Victorian silver plate sardine fork and a silver plated master butter knife.
The tulips have bloomed into a beautiful bouquet.
Basking in the sunlight of the dinning room window on a Wintery~January morning.
Thank you for joining me.
I would like to thank you for your kind and beautiful comments
I hope you have enjoyed 'Winter Blue and White'

~Blue~White and Angel Wings~

Hello Everyone,
A Blue and White tea cup.  A sprinkling of Pink on heart shaped sugar cookies. A pair of White feather angel wings.  As I continue to show you my Blue and White collection I would like to say how much I enjoy your visits to My Cozy Corner, and how much your comments and friendship mean to me.
From the beginning of  this blogging journey on Christmas Day 2009, I was seeking a place to express my inner self. I wanted to relax each day and look at beautiful photos and read inspiring stories about real people living joyously everyday, or most everyday. I have so much joy in my life today, and
I can't explain the transformation I have made. Life is calm. I have found a new purpose in life.
Gardening, Decorating, Photography and writing from my heart.
THANK YOU
The beautiful angel wings were a gift from my fabulous sister- in - law. The special lady who rescues me when I have a tea party for 12 ladies. Go Here
The little cloche is from my store LOL~Tuesday Morning.  The blue tea bag holder is a gift from a friend
A few heart shaped sugar cookies sprinkled with pink colored sugar. I just mix granulated sugar with pink food coloring gel and sprinkle  it on the small heart shaped cookies before baking.  Sweetheart and I have TWO each night with our ice cream while watching our favorite TV programs.  I'm cuddled in a heated throw in my recliner and Sweetheart is sitting next to me with his feet up.
No worries today!
The Blue and White Tea Cup marking on the bottom is CHINA CLASSIC Fine China
I found this tea cup and saucer at the thrift store last fall. I've been waiting until January Blues month to showcase my Blue and White find...

I love the sliver tipped feather wreath around my candle. It really is a Christmas tree ornament I bought at TM. I found the drip protectors at Michael's craft store. The candle holder is a Anchor Hocking Berwick.

The weather has been seasonally warm for January. I worked in the garden today, doing the pruning I was thinking about during the first of this week.  Sweetheart and I are going to be landscaping the Secret Garden the next few days. Hopefully I will be showing you some photos of our progress the first week in February.  We are also working on a remodel in our kitchen and dining room. I'm in the process of emptying the china cabinets with all the glassware and silver. Also wrapping and storing all the Pink transfer ware. The cabinet with the tea cups and tea service dishes will be last to wrap and store. Life is busy and exciting

*Blue and White Tea Cup Note Cards*

Hi Everyone,
I have a little more 'Blue and White' for you today.
A personal note card is so nice to receive and especially if the card has a little special touch.
Maybe a photo of family or a travel photo. I love to make note cards with something I truly love.
And, I truly love this ROYAL WINDSOR tea cup.
I found this tea or coffee cup at a local thrift store while I was looking for my Blue and White theme to post during the month of January. To see the Blue and White Wishing Tray Go Here.
I have four different card styles for friends and family.
The Blue and White tea cup was perfect for this post and I love to create a mosaic of my photos.
I hope you enjoy your week. I'm busy with some projects around My Cozy Corner.
I'll be sharing them with you in a  few weeks.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me.

~A Blue and White Wishing Tray~

Hello Everyone,
I'm happy you've come to visit.
I wanted to share something Blue and White during the month of January.
Last week I showed off my new Blue and White tea set.  Go Here.
This week I'm sharing my
Blue and White Wishing Tray
Starting with a nice tray and covering it with a beautiful lace runner. I folded it over to drape over one side.
Then nestled the tray next to a neck pillow and put my wishing treasures in place.
The lavender heart is so calming and a  little votive candle is so dreamy.
The La Mère Poulard biscuits are made from carefully selected natural ingredients using traditional recipes created in France by the famous chef, La Mère Poulard, in her famous restaurant at Mont Saint Michel, the most well known UNESCO heritage site. The vanilla and toffee flavored biscuits have Mont Saint Michel pressed into the top of each biscuit.  They are so delicious with a cup of hot tea. A product of France. I bought my tin at TM before Christmas. To see more about the biscuits Go Here.
I have angels flying close to watch over my house guests while they're staying at My Cozy Corner.
I purchased a brand new journal for my trip to France. I love the Arc de Triomphe on the front cover.
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris.
I want to see this amazing monument at night too.
A cup of Tea is a must. As I read my tour book during a restful afternoon.
We are having a cold snap here this week and it's very cold during the day.
I have pruning to do, but maybe next week.
I want to wish awhile.
A Royal Windsor Fine Bone China Cup made in England and a lovely vintage blue tea towel.
Ooooh what a wonderful afternoon.
Learning about the beautiful city of Paris and the history of a beautiful country.
(It takes me awhile to learn about a place I want to visit someday) so you might be having more french influenced posts.

Well, it's time to get back to the task of daily living,
and remembering  the restful afternoon on a chilly day in January.
Please join me as I hop around blogland.

*Winter* Blue and White

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to My Cozy Corner *2013* edition.
The weather here in the far northern end of California has been bitter cold.  We had some snow and I took a few photos of the scenery in the garden. Go Here. Then the temps dropped down to the low 20's for a few days. I have a very sunny window in the dining room, so I decided to photograph a few vignettes of my new tea set I received as a gift before Christmas.
I think it's incredibly beautiful.
Lomonosov Russian Porcelain made in Russia and I have an idea what the pattern is. But not sure enough to go public. If any of you know the pattern, please make a comment or e-mail me. I keep a binder on my china for future reference. You never know when you might have to liquidate a collection.
Hopefully I have six granddaughters and they will be interested in collecting china also.

The little cherubs are sunning themselves in the window.
During January, 2013 I'm going to dedicate my posts to all things Blue and White. I love Blue and White. In the fall of 2012, I collected a couple of new Blue and White tea cups and saucers. I will be sharing them with you during my January Winter Blue and White.
This Blue and White tea set was a bonus and a complete surprise to me. ENJOY!
I'm  also going to try and improve my camera skills.
The garden is bare this time of year and I needed a little something floral. I added baby's breath from the grocery store to this rather amazing Vintage Viking Cobalt Blue Swung Art glass vase from my mother's estate.  It  added just the right amount of flower power to my vignette.
 Food? Yes! Always food...
Lemon Squares Supreme Go Here for recipe.

I gave the cuties a new coat of white paint.
They were a little dingy hanging in my mother's bedroom for so many years.

How many ways to display tea cups? I don't know, but I love every way possible.
Need a romantic touch? Add a burning candle.

Thank you for visiting My Cozy Corner.
Hope you enjoyed the Winter Blue and White.
