Vacation Fun~Houseboat

Hello everyone,
I'm back from vacation with my family. We had a great time. Playing and laughing almost every minute.
Our week vacation started at 'Water Works' with sun, water and beautiful girls. Have you ever seen the license plate holder with the saying... My grandchildren are cuter than yours? Well I have six girls and I think they're pretty cute.
My son
Thursday afternoon we boarded our Houseboat.
Working, Working, Working... Loading the houseboat and launching two ski boats with the lake level 130 feet below the rim of the face of the Dam was a little interesting.
My daughter's friend brought chaise lounges to put on the top of the dog house for star gazing. LOL. He's so sweet.
We brought great food and lots of water toys
The work's done, now it's time to rest a bit. Then it was time to play...
Pumping up the water toys was easy with a mini air compressor. Yes! We brought an air compressor.
The girls are ready to use the slide.  A little water on the slide and down they go~
They're ready to get into the boats and ready to hit the water.
Up on double water skis.
Yay!!!
Up we go...Another girl on double skis.
Son and granddaughter watching the action and getting cool.
The girls are rocking on those double skis.
Having a boat ride.
My daughter watching the girls ski, while a granddaughter is driving the ski boat.
Inside the houseboat.
Laughing, cooking, driving the houseboat and reading...
Shasta Dam
Back out in the water on a knee board.
Kneel Boarding is a favorite.
Saturday my two older granddaughters arrived for some water fun.
Granddaughter and friend.
This granddaughter loves to float on her ski vest with her 'The Fault in our Stars' sunglasses.
"Me"
Party's over.
2014 vacation matching bandana headbands.
The Last Good Bye.
We had so much fun singing
'Let's go to the mall'

The girls have a dance routine for this song and they danced in the water, they danced on the deck and got a standing ovation from another houseboat across the lake and they danced on the walkway to the slide.
I laughed and laughed until my tummy hurt.
Hope you play the video it's great.

Tool Caddy for Patio Table

Hello everyone,
The weather has been so hot! In a couple of weeks we're having our annual visit from our granddaughters and son from Southern California. I've been getting the patio ready for our evening get-togethers.  We do a lot of snacks and desserts in the evening when the sun has gone down. To make life a little easier for me, I decided to put some essentials in a tool caddy on the patio table. Our new table has a lazy susan in the center and we can spin it around and help ourselves to anything we need in the caddy. I've put flatware, salt and pepper and napkins and a small lighter in the caddy to light the candles for our evening enjoyment.
A little french bucket is holding some of my roses. Even with the heat my poor roses are blooming. I have a new pink hydrangea bush  and I picked a bloom for my flower centerpiece.  The tool caddy has been around  awhile and it works beautifully on the patio table.
I found a set of flour sack towels with red stripes at the grocery store. I wanted to cover the caddy with something frenchy. The  letter transfer with my initials was ironed on the towel. A french country look in the patio.
I can carry the caddy into the house and add anything extra I need for entertaining during the evening.
I bought an eight piece set of flatware in white at Walmart for under $5.00 dollars. It works great for outdoor dining or desserts.
Salt and Pepper and some napkins. Today I bought some small paper plates to put in the caddy too.
A little Double Delight
My sweet Secret
After I finished photographing the outside patio table, I brought the roses and hydrangea blossom into the house and photographed the  centerpiece on my little table in front of the dining room windows.
One more look at my Tool Caddy and the beauty of Summer.

Thanks for visiting My Cozy Corner
I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
Joyously,
Betty

Summer Wreath "Three Ways"

Hello everyone,
It's time for a DIY simple wreath project.
I love having a wreath on my front porch all year long, but I can't afford to buy a new ready made wreath for every occasion. To solve the problem this year I'm making a small changes on the same wreath.  As you saw in my 4th of July post. HERE  I just added a few Dollar Tree flags to my existing Summertime Wreath. Ta Da!!
Summertime Wreath HERE
Started all this madness.
An old sunburst grapevine wreath and two long stems of dogwood and the a burlap bow.  To add more texture to the wreath I added a neutral colored ribbon on the top of the burlap bow and a sprig of white fern.
Now thru July and August I have morphed my Summertime wreath into a Summer Initial Wreath. I found my initial Y for my last name at Walmart for only $1.97 plus tax.  I painted the Y with black craft paint. and a new trick for me was to use a hot glue gun. I haven't used one very often and the first thing I did was burn my finger with the hot glue. I finally attached the initial to the wreath and let it dry. Ta Da!!
A simple DIY project and a new look to an old wreath.
I'm a new fan of the Hot Glue Gun.
Thanks for visiting My Cozy Corner. "Y" because I love you. LOL
I'm happy to be playing with my dishes today. The temps are going to be 111° high and dry...
Joyously,
Betty
