I'm delighted you're here for a visit. If this is your first visit to My Cozy Corner welcome. Today, I'm sharing my 'Tea Cup' collection. Since, I'm half English, I think I've inherited the tea drinking gene and also the love of beautiful tea cups.
This summer Sweetheart and I updated our 90's kitchen and dining room. We painted the walls and installed new flooring, plus some other updates I'll be sharing soon. Well I had to completely empty my 'Tea Cup' cabinet. While the tea cups were sitting on our table I took a few photos. I have a few!!!
I hope you'll find a favorite.I have a few tea sets. Tea cup, saucer and dessert plate. I didn't photograph them this time. Maybe sometime later if you want to see them.
There are many different styles and colors.
Do you see a tea cup and saucer similar to one in your cupboard?
I've collected most of the tea cups in the past four years.
Thrift shops, estate sales and yard sales.
Do I need more? YES!
Do I have space for more? NO!
Will I keep looking and buying? YES!
Gosh, I hope you've enjoyed this post.
I have enjoyed sharing my 'Tea Cups' with you.

ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! What a fabulous collection of teacups you have! Most of mine came from thrifting too and it is fun to hunt for them, isn't it? One of these days, I'm going display mine on a table and count them because I don't know how many sets I have and it would be nice to know. Thank you for sharing your pretties at my HOME and have a lovely weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi

I am a collector, but I ran out of cupboard space... however, do you store them all! THay are such treasures.... so beautiful...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness they are beautiful! The only one I have right now - aside from a few little saucerless orphans - is a newer cup-and-saucer in Royal Albert Old Country Roses. I do love teacups, however I don't drink tea (I do think I should START, however! LOL) so I don't collect them. Dessert plates, on the other hand... well I love dessert so I have quite a few of those! :) Can't wait to discover more of your lovely blog, thank you!
ReplyDeleteWow, you do have a wonderful collection of Tea Cups, which I love and have a very small amount compared to you! :)
ReplyDeleteDrooling here! Thank you for sharing these great pictures. It's like looking into a candy box .. they all look sooo good! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I am speechless!! What beautiful tea sets you have!!! I have just started collecting. I think they are so pretty. I'd love to find a few of the ones you have! I'll have to come back and see if you add any more! :)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your collection. I collect teacups, too, and love looking for those that have something unique: a scalloped top or different shaped cup or I even have one with an added porcelain strip across the top of the cup for keeping men's moustaches dry while drinking! How do you store your fabulous collection? Oh, I could swoon at how lovely they look huddled together! Love your photos!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

HI Betty,
ReplyDeleteOne tea cup collector to another---you can never have enough tea cups for sure! we have a few of the same cups.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
I enjoyed looking at these! I used to have a lot of tea cups as well when I lived in our little cottage. We used to buy one on each anniversary and then we had many as gifts and so forth. We have downsized and when we sold our spindle cottage we left a lot of the tea cups at the cottage. Now I only have a handful. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI thought I had quite a few tea cups but you sure out did me!! Love them all.. have fun finding more. take care, Maryann
ReplyDeleteI love them all! I must get my few out of the cupboard and photograph them. This is very inspirational!

ReplyDeleteHi Susie,
DeleteYes, I love them all . Each cup and saucer has a story. I have a large china cabinet in my dining room with the tea cups and tea sets displayed for my pleasure. I love to set tea tablescapes and have tea parties for my dear friends on special occasions. Thanks for visiting.
Betty
Wow, what a nice collection of teacups! You have MANY! I am overwhelmed. They truly are beautiful, Betty.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty A girl can never have too many teacups! I have a lot to but none the same as yours. Lovely collection. When I was a young bride many years ago my mothers friends gave me a cup and saucer shower, which started my collection. Over the years I have given lots away as gifts and people seem to really appreciate them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive Collection of Beautiful Teacups you have! And who doesn't Love a good Tea Party?! The G-Kid Force and I often have Mad Tea Parties. I enjoy serving the Tea in mismatched China so that everyone can pick their favorite distinctive Cup. Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
