Hello Everyone,
Today, we're going to enjoy some beautiful spring weather in Northern California.
I've set my new patio table under the pergola with a Saint Patrick Day's Tablescape.
The Flowering Pear Tree and the fabulous shade of green associated with the Ireland was my inspiration.
The Flowering Pear branches are in full bloom and have a soft, musky fragrance. When I walk out my back door I can smell the delicious scent filling the air.
The Antique Green Depression Glass cups and saucers are Block Optic Design. I've wanted to buy some Depression glass dinnerware for years, but this is the first time I found the perfect reason to own some. I love Green too. Being a gardener and loving nature, green is a very calming color.
I used my daughter's silverware for this tablescape. It's called 'Affection' and a simple shamrock ribbon around them is great for outside dining. Casual and easy.
An extra cup to hold a few flower blossoms and a few clusters of blossoms around the table adds freshness to the tablescape.
A tall glass for water or other drink.
I made some lime Jello to serve with ice cream for dessert.
The Butter Cookies are here today in the shape of a shamrock and covered with green sugar sprinkles.
I have used silver chargers with basic white Cost Plus dinner plates. The white plates were my mother's everyday dishes. The salad plates are Martha Stewart everyday dishes and the dessert dish is more of the Cost Plus dinnerware.
My large green vase is my favorite L.E. Smith Moon and Stars canister.
It's time to have a little luck thrown around on the table. I found the coins at Michaels craft store.
Everyone I know can use a little good luck now and then...
Well, I guess I've given you enough Blarney for one post. I love that word.
Blarney is the Irish gift of gab. It's also the ability to present things in a positive light, and to make positive statements. That's me, LOL
Thank for visiting My Cozy Corner.

Beautiful and inviting table for St. Pat's Day. I would love to be under that pergola having some tea with you, in such gorgeous setting. I love the dishes, the flatware tied with such cute thingie, the green tea cups and everything about this setting. Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day.

Oh Betty- your tablescape is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteEach piece is just perfect, love love love it.
I have 3 flowering pear trees but we're a long way off before they bloom here in mid Ohio.
Send your warmer weather here, please it is supposed to snow again tonight! Ugh! So sick of it!
Beautiful table setting. I can hardly wait for spring to arrive in Indiana. Meanwhile I will enjoy the blooms via others blogs. Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty. Is it really that lovely outside where you are now? I'm jealous - I love our winters/springs and all the snow it brings, but this makes me want to be outside in the sunshine, flowers, greens, and blarney. Happy Pink Saturday to you~
ReplyDeleteThis is the prettiest St. Pat's table I've seen this year. I love the way the light makes the glass sparkle. The blossoms on the table are lovely too, but I have to admit that my favorite of all is the way the silverware is tied up with a ribbon. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."~Leonardo da Vinci.
ReplyDeleteHappy pinks and patty's!
I love this tablescape, absolutely gorgeous, the centerpiece is so lovely. Visiting from Seasonal Sundays. Have to come visit again and explore some more. xo
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a pear tree that I could gather blossoms from, that is such a pretty centerpiece, especially with the sunlight highlighting the glass...I went to college at Chico, LOVE northern Cal, so many great and beautiful towns.

What a beautiful table, I love how the sun is shining thru the glasses. Green depression ware always makes a table look wonderful. Nice you can eat outside, I have warm weather envy, we got 2 inches of snow last night. Laura
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful! happy st patrick's day and happy pink saturday! xo
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Paddy's Day to you. I was wondering where you lived to be able to eat outside with sun on your table. It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful tablescape! Aren't we having the most beautiful weather up here in Northern CA this weekend? I also featured some flowering pear blossoms (along with some others) this week except they're still on the tree. I think I'll take your cue and cut some for a centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day!
Robin
So attractive. Love the flowering blossoms and the depression glass. Your shamrock ribbon and shamrock cookies are too cute!
