Table Top Tuesday - Mister Lincoln Visits the Girls

I am joining Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life - Table Top Tuesday. It is great fun to share with everyone the little things in life.

I started to collect Hummel figurines about 40 years ago.  I fell in love with the darling children the first time I saw them in a gift store when I was 18 years old.  I received my first Hummel from my father in the early 1970's as a birthday gift.  She is the largest girl in the photo.  Her name is "For Mother" I truely love her with all my heart.

On Sunday I was cleaning one of my  rose beds and "Mister Lincoln" was in the way of progress.  I had to remove the rose bush. I cut the beautiful long stemed rose buds and put them into the vase to cherish them for several weeks.  I thought the girls (hummels) would like to share the spot light with a beautiful rose bouquet in a rustic container.

Each little girl has a name related to the task that she is performing.  Such as: Spring Waltz, Nature's Gift, Two Hands One Treat, Pigtails, A Sweet Offering, and I Brought You a Gift.

The color and detail is so unique to the porcelain craftsman and the porcelain designer.  The sweet faces and the type of dress is amazing to me.  I look at each detail from the shoes to the bow in the hair.

The lips and cheeks are so real.
Thank you for visiting Mister Lincoln and the Girls.  I have enjoyed sharing my girls and my rose with you.   I love to blog!!!!
