Tablescape # 33

A Perfect Autumn Wedding

Hello Everyone,
After scones and tea at church on Saturday morning.  My Sweetheart and I drove about 70 miles up toward the Oregon border to attend my nephew's wedding on Saturday afternoon.
The wedding was held at the parent's home of the bride. The home sits on a beautiful horse ranch in the eastern California high dessert.  Where the Cowboys and Indians once held a strong hold in the mountains.

The bride, groom and family have been planning the wedding for a year.
Planning is the key to a successful event.
The bride has been collecting bird cages as centerpieces for each table for a year and each birdcage  is different.

The garden was outstanding.  Flowers in bloom everywhere.

I love this grouping.  This is where the garbage cans are stored.  So cute.

Pumpkins were everywhere.

Each table had a birdcage with fresh autumn flowers inside.  The gold chargers, plum napkins and chocolate chiffon tablecloths looked fantastic.

I love this idea.  The mother of the bride baked and decorated all the cupcakes and the wedding cake.

As the guests arrived they were asked to put their thumbprint on this tree and sign it.
The tree replaced a guest book. The bride and groom are planning to frame and hang the personalized tree in their home when they return from their honeymoon.
*Very Sweet*

The wedding vows were shared at this beautiful archway.

Before the ceremony  I had an opportunity to walk around the grounds looking at the vegetable garden and the fabulous flower gardens.  The dahlias are gorgeous.  The yellow ones are as big as a dinner plates.

I think I have a new passion.  Trying to grow dahlias in the intense heat of the valley.

In each napkin is a beautiful letter addressing the bride and groom's contributions to two charities on behalf of their guests.
H.E.R.O.
(Housing Education and Rehabilitation for Orphans) which aims in secure housing for Haitian orphans and street children to provide a stable environment as well as an education that ensures their economic autonomy as adults, through the implementation of primary, secondary, technology and vocational school programs.
The second is Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund which was set up to pay tribute to and support those who have sacrificed for our nation at two special facilities.  One is in Texas that focuses on physical rehabilitation of catastrophic injuries.  The other one is in Maryland and specializes in traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Awesome!!!

During the past year the bride requested friends and family to find vintage plates for the wedding tables. She collected over 150 plates.  I was in GW and Thrift stores buying some for the tables.  It was so much fun.
Amazing!!

Here is the happy couple after the ceremony
Adorable!!!

The wedding ceremony was at 5:00 o'clock in the evening and the sun quickly began to set.

Over to the cake cutting.

Very Sweet!!!

The cupcakes were just perfect.  Guests were welcome to pick any cupcake they desired.

The mother of the bride made the wraps for the cupcakes too.
I love this idea...

The perfect cake and top

I'm standing where the bride and groom had their wedding photos taken early in the afternoon before the wedding ceremony.  This beautiful view was captured in their wedding photos and
the bride and groom were so gracious to all their guests the entire evening.
Bless them both.

Oh, what a wonderful celebration.  The couple are so in love and truly are planning a wonderful life together.
Best Wishes to the bride and groom.
