A Little French Going On!

Hi everyone,
Oh my goodness.  I've missed playing with my camera and posting this week. I finished doing our taxes and cleaning the filing cabinets. 2012 is put to bed. While sitting at the computer doing  the year end recap it felt  just like WORK! Ouch! (An expression of one's own physical pain) Yep! That's me.  I love retirement and sitting at the computer blogging is playing and it's such a joy. I missed editing photos and planning my posts. I took these photos for this post this evening. I usually don't take photos at night, but I was so excited to get back to posting and catch the weekend parties,  I felt like I had been gone for a year. What's wrong with me? I posted last Friday. Okay, I think I'm done venting now. It's over and I'm happy again.
This post is for my pleasure.
•I needed to bake cookies to go with our evening ice cream treat. I love this Butter Cookie recipe.

•I wanted to show off my new French Rooster container

•I received a bouquet of flowers from a friend and I wanted to show them off.

•I wanted to pretend that the beautiful tin box from Mont Saint-Michel, France still had some delicious butter cookies in it. I think I'll put these cookies in it tomorrow.

•And I wanted to dream about the day I might visit Mont Saint-Michel.

I bought this vase at TM for .99¢.
I have more cookies to bake tomorrow.
Would you like the recipe? Go Here

The flowers are Alstroemeria and I love them.
 I can't do a post without making a mosaic.
Thank you all for visiting My Cozy Corner. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Please come back.

  7. Those are my favorite flowers because they last such a long time! I love the tin - tins can be works of art, can't they?

  9. All elements create a lovely vignette! I always buy alstromeria lilies because they last forever - I have some pink ones on my table now! Hope you can stop by the enchanted oven.

  10. The vase so perfectly complements the flower bouquet...wonderful colors. What a chore to have done. It's one that needs to be done here. Let's not discuss that. So much more fun to play.
