I Love My Eden Rose

Good morning everyone.
I'm sitting here in Napa Valley, California on a mini-vacation. I'll be sharing those photos in a week or so. But today it's time to share my new Climbing White Eden Rose, and my new Finlandia teapot and pitcher. I was at a thrift store and found both of these vintage items for 50% off.
I love blue and white and couldn't resist bringing them home.  All  my other blue and white dishes are packed away while we remodel our French Country kitchen.
This blue and white cup and saucer is the only blue and white left in the china cabinet. I have packed away all the other blue and white dishes in anticipation of our up and coming remodel in the kitchen and dining room. The redo was postponed while my sweetheart built a beautiful iron fence and gate for our church. I will share those photos in another post.
I love the Eden rose bud with the soft pink center.
Today we are outside under the pomegranate tree with the peonies in the background. I dug the peonies up from my mother's yard before we sold her home last month. I will always have a memory of my mom's beautiful garden in my garden.
The little hankie as the napkin, which also belonged to my mom. With an old fashioned clothes pin for my napkin ring
I have a new love. A funny book about  Peter Mayle's 'A Year in Provence'
I'm only in the month of February and I already know how to cook a fox!
LOL
Beautiful White Eden
White Milk Glass vase and the scrumptious Eden Rose.
It's time for tea in the garden. I love my little shortbread cookies with my afternoon tea.
This bouquet is a mix of Peony, White Eden, Simplicity and Crystalline.

Wow! What a whirlwind week. Napa Valley is so beautiful in the spring.
The grapes are just starting to set and the weather was perfect.
There are over 300 wineries in Napa Valley.
Go Here for a brief overview of the region.
Thanks for visiting. I've been busy this past week working in the garden and traveling up and down I-5
Hope you have enjoyed my new treasures.

  14. Everything looks just lovely! A getaway in Napa Valley is always a good idea. My favorite time there is in the fall when the leaves in the vineyards are changing but anytime will do! It's wonderful that you brought the peonies from your mother's garden into yours. They are beautiful. You will love "A Year in Provence" - it's one of my favorites!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  15. Betty, Your roses are gorgeous!! It is so nice that you have your mom's peonies. My mom has a rose from her mother, and I would like to get it for my yard. A Year in Provence actually started my love of travel journals when it originally came out! If you have the chance there is an excellent mini series of the book (I can't believe I'm saying that as I rarely find the movies of books to be satisfactory), which stars John Thaw as Peter Mayle. The scenery is amazing. Enjoy! Linda
