Hi everyone,
Happy Holidays to you all. If you're a new visitor or a regular follower you will remember I recently visited Disneyland and I was so inspired by the Holiday decorations, that I made a copy of a wreath I saw as we walked into the park. Here
I'm taking a little break from decorating the our Christmas tree and decided to share the wonderful day my family and I spent in Disneyland.
The first sight we saw was this beautiful steam locomotive at the entrance.
The train reminded me of my dad. He loved steam trains.
As we walked under the railroad tracks we were greeted with the beautiful garland and wreaths hanging across Main Street.
What a wonderful and beautiful sight to see.
And the most fabulous Christmas Tree.
Oh, my gosh!!!
A stop at the Haunted Mansion where Halloween and Christmas collide.
One of my all time favorite attractions is It's a Small World.
My darling granddaughter with her buddy, Pluto. LOL
I love watching the girls enjoy their time with Pluto, the Disney character.
I've been wanting to take the girls to Cars Land for a long time.
I loved the movie "Cars" and I was hooked on Tow Mater's voice.
How about this funny ride...
We bought a 'Hopper' ticket for one day, and Radiator Springs Racers was the ride I was excited to experience. The five of us hopped into the same car and had an amazing time. The ride just wasn't long enough. I was laughing the entire time we were on the ride. I could have rode it again, but it was time for an early dinner before watching 'A Christmas Fantasy Parade' in the evening.
Enjoyed dinner at the Carnation Cafe
Now it's time for the Parade. The video is wonderful.
I have a few photos, but I need some lessons on night time photography...
We had wonderful seats. After dinner we found a park bench and we all sat down and waited for the parade to start.
The mosaic is a bonus...
My favorite rides.

Looks like you had a great time on your day off. I have never been to Disneyland. That trip is on my bucket list. I have been to Disney World several times. They know how to do fun right at the Magic Kingdoms. Your pictures are wonderful! The parades are really hard to photograph at night, you did a great job of capturing some of the magic. My favorite park is Epcot - I get to go every three or four years. I am so happy that you managed to get some well deserved R&R.....Candy
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite visits to Disneyland was during Christmas. My daughter and I strolled down Main Street, listened to the Carolers and even decorated sugar cookies outside the Police Station or maybe it was the Fire Department. I remember it was at the entrance and a spot I had never visited on a trip to Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteFunny story, the first time we took our 3 year old son , we hyped it up so much and were so excited. We were amazed that we were the first people to arrive that day. And then realized it was closed - on a Tuesday in April during our spring break. Oh, what a disappointment. We went to Knotts' Berry Farm instead.
I have not been in years and it looks like your family had a wonderful visit. I am awful at taking evening images...and I have had lessons too! Your grand-daughters are lovely...what a nice thing to spend time together!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved Disneyland and Disney World. It is a magical place for people of all ages. I love all the decorations, Disney knows how to really make the place festive. Your night photos are great. Thanks for sharing, have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit Disney World in Florida. Maybe one day we will have a chance. Glad they built on the east coast. Don't think we will have the chance to go west.
ReplyDeleteI've been to Disney World in Florida a couple of times and it really is magical for every age group.
ReplyDeleteLooks very fun! Great captures.
ReplyDeletePure magic!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you thoroughly enjoy the happiest place on earth!
ReplyDeleteDisneyland looks amazing Betty! Especially decked out for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe always wanted to take our children when they were young but it was expensive to fly there from new Zealand.
Wonderful photos with beautiful memories for you.
Hugs
