Welcome to My Cozy Corner.
It's time for tea and some garden flowers. I found this wonderful tea cup at the thrift store awhile ago. I love being a grandmother soooo much and this 'Grandmother' tea cup is perfect for a hot cup of tea while enjoying a few of my garden flowers bloom.

I ironed my mom's hankie and placed a yellow rose bud from my valentine's bouquet on my tea cup.
The hyacinths are blooming and favored for their intense color and heady fragrance. They are a staple in my spring garden along with my daffodils...
I planted about a 100 daffodil bulbs this past fall and when I picked the first six to bring in the house, I was thinking about the beautiful photo the other 94 blooms will make in a couple of weeks. It's kind of funny counting every bloom. LOL!
The low vase is an old crystal ash tray with a vintage round metal flower frog holding the hyacinths and some floral moss to cover my frog.
My grandma's little tea spoon with a decorative ear of corn...
I love my lace curtains hanging at the window. I found the curtains help defuse the light and soften the look of my tablescape. The little table has a vintage dolly covering a white linen tablecloth.
I have clear florist marbles to support my precious daffodils in the vase.
The weather is wet today, but is a few days it's going to clear up and I'll be outside with bells on and a camera. Everything is growing a few inches everyday.
How about a cup of tea before you go?
As you know I have a few more tea cups and you can pick any tea cup you like.
Please stop and smell the roses or rose.
I love having my yellow tea pot out to contrast with the beautiful color of my
hyacinths.
Thanks for dropping by and I'll be seeing you in a couple of days with some photos of my February garden.

What a gorgeous post... oh to be enjoying spring flowers from the garden already!!!!!! We are having more snow here in Virginia... but the daffodils have broken ground...actually I hope they will hold until my tea party the last week of March!
ReplyDeletePretty post. Lovely teascape. The Grandmother teacup sounds like it could live with me, too! Love how you've shown off your Mother's pretty hankie and the cute little tea spoon. Daffodils just scream Spring to me. Lucky girl to have them coming up. They are lovely on your table. I'd be counting them too as they come up! Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is lovely and oh, the hyacinths. So beautiful. enjoy your tea!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous post, Betty! I love the yellow and purple together. It's very cheerful and your daffodils look so happy in their vase. I won't see my posies for a couple of months yet. We have tons of snow but Spring is coming and I cannot wait! Thank you for coming to tea and have a glorious week in your garden.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Oh so lovely. We won't see daffodils for a good bit yet. Normally by now they would be popping up through the ground but not this year. We are still covered with snow and it is COLD. I do love hyacynths! These are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful spring tea table and I really like the "Grandma" teacup you found. I too love being a grandmother.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful spring tea post! I love the new grandmother cup you have found. It looks very dear. The hankie and the hyacinth really show off their beauty all together. Wow! You planted 100! That must have taken some time. I look forward to a picture of them when they bloom.

ReplyDeleteA very cheery tea, especially with the yellow teapot. I love hyacinths , and they seem to embody so much of what I love about spring. New flowers, sweet scents , and they create excitement about the rest of the season. Lovely.
