Hello everyone,
It's time for a DIY simple wreath project.
I love having a wreath on my front porch all year long, but I can't afford to buy a new ready made wreath for every occasion. To solve the problem this year I'm making a small changes on the same wreath. As you saw in my 4th of July post. HERE I just added a few Dollar Tree flags to my existing Summertime Wreath. Ta Da!!
Summertime Wreath HERE
Started all this madness.
Started all this madness.
An old sunburst grapevine wreath and two long stems of dogwood and the a burlap bow. To add more texture to the wreath I added a neutral colored ribbon on the top of the burlap bow and a sprig of white fern.
Now thru July and August I have morphed my Summertime wreath into a Summer Initial Wreath. I found my initial Y for my last name at Walmart for only $1.97 plus tax. I painted the Y with black craft paint. and a new trick for me was to use a hot glue gun. I haven't used one very often and the first thing I did was burn my finger with the hot glue. I finally attached the initial to the wreath and let it dry. Ta Da!!
A simple DIY project and a new look to an old wreath.
I'm a new fan of the Hot Glue Gun.
Thanks for visiting My Cozy Corner. "Y" because I love you. LOL
I'm happy to be playing with my dishes today. The temps are going to be 111° high and dry...
Joyously,
Betty

Love your different summer wreaths! It's so much fun to change them out throughout the year - the addition of the initial is marvelous - I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
