Hello Everyone,
A bright, crisp, sunny day in Northern California.
If your new here @ My Cozy Corner, I'm excited to show you part of the garden.
I bought this park bench to put under the old plum tree.
I'm in LOVE with my park bench.
We made the cement stepping stones and we haven't used them in years, and when I found them in the storage area I knew they would work perfectly around my new park bench.
Soon the Johnny Jump-Ups will be filling in between the stepping stones for a softer look, and
Soon the Johnny Jump-Ups will be filling in between the stepping stones for a softer look, and
in a few months the roses will be blooming in this part of the garden.
'Sweater Pillow'
I've been wanting to make a sweater pillow for the longest time. I found this sweater in my closet and knew it would be so comfy on the park bench. The pillow has a place to warm my hands if they get chilly while I'm sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and the garden.
The daffodils are coming up around my mom's basket and the throw in the basket is for anyone who would like to sit awhile with me on my park bench.
Be My Valentine
My 'Lenten Rose' has beautiful blooms and a little french flair going on with my flower bucket and napkin.
Before, sweetheart assembled the park bench, he painted a waterproof varnish on the wooden parts of the bench to protect them from the cold winters and HOT SUMMERS. It feels so smooth too...
Thanks for coming over to My Cozy Corner and staying awhile to sit and visit.

ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
ReplyDeleteThis corner of your garden looks so charming and the new bench is the perfect addition. Your throws and sweater pillow (nice job!) make it all look so cozy. I love your daffodils and Lenten Roses and your big heart cookie and Fleur-de-lis napkin. This all makes for a pretty vignette.
Have a great day!
Denise
Love your new bench and truly enjoyed seeing how you spruced it up to take a nice comfy tea break.
ReplyDeleteWell done, and very lovely.
WoW! Am drooling the ambiance. I really jealous while in my garden it is still snow all over.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow it will snow more, forecasted about 6 inches snow. OMG!
Me & GH (great hubby- together 28 yrs & 24 yrs as man & wife) made our own bench. I will surely show and feature your bench when Spring comes §:-)
Happy Sunday.

Perfect!!! I love how you arrainged things around your park bench. It will be awhile here for us to do any planting. Lots of snow lately and freezing rain today! But it is that time of year! Never know what we will have from day to day. Your pictures have brought some color into my life. Thank you :) Teresa
ReplyDeleteI like to sit on my park bench and watch the ducks in the pond. I know you'll enjoy yours too - you've made yourself such a pretty place to sit.
ReplyDeletethis looks like it is going to be a lovely place to sit on a sunny winter or spring or autumn or summer day! The Lenten Roses are beautiful. I have never seen them before.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. I am linking up to you through Mosaic Monday.
Such a cozy area to relax and read a book! I have never heard of a lenten rose! Love your pillow...it is on my list of things to make!
ReplyDeleteI want a cozy corner, too. One like this would be perfect. We're at least a month out with our weather but you've inspired. Jo @ Let's Face the Music
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to sit and dream, or read a book, or doing any sort of thinking. Love the pillow with the pocket!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good place to sit and read a spell; share conversation with others; or just dream.
