New Burlap Bow on Old Wreath



Hello Everyone,
I'm in the swing of things now that I have my fall wreath hung on the front porch.
If you are new here I must admit I'm a bit thrifty...I bought this wreath in 2011 while working at Tuesday Morning. I love that store. I added a sparkly bow and I loved the look. But you know how times change and everything is coming up Burlap. I caught the fever... 
What a difference a little burlap makes on an old wreath.
 I added  faux sunflowers blooms to brighten up my
NEW BURLAP BOW WREATH. 
I really don't like Burlap. 
1. It's itchy.
2. It ravels. 
3. It's hard to work with.
But I love the look of Burlap
The piece of Burlap I used for this bow has a story.
I had a piece of burlap I used to wrap the pot of an Easter Lily for my Easter Tablescape  Go Here
I cut the piece of burlap into 3 inch strips and folded them back and forth layering each piece on top of the other. I wrapped a small piece of burlap around the center of the folds and took the tail and pulled it through the back of the knot and pulled it down and adjusted it in a casual way
 DONE, 
I love to be crafty and thrifty at the same time.
How about this mosaic for my October Banner or shall I bring out the Halloween Banner from last year?

    That looks wonderful! I like reusing things like this too and when you have a nice starting point you can't go wrong. The burlap and sunflowers really changed it's looks! Our Tuesday Morning closed it's doors and left.... boo!

    Burlap is my FAVORITE fabric to decorate with. The burlap bows can be used for any season. You did a wonderful job of making an old wreath perfect.

    Love how you gave your wreath a kick up. Yes, a couple of years ago it was sparkly ribbon and now burlap. What's next. Ahh...if we only knew.

    It looks fantastic....SO fantastic, that I am going to get my autumn wreath out of the box of things I was about to take to Goodwill, add an amazing BURLAP BOW and probably will love my wreath again....:))

    I think it's great to be resourceful and use what one already has - it's a beautiful wreath!

    Thank you for this idea! I have a Fall wreath I put out every year and this year I just feel it needs something new. I have a bunch of burlap too! I can hang my wreath now after I add a new bow. Visiting from the Tablescaper and following via GFC!

    Love the wreath - the burlap bow adds just the right rustic touch - it can be rough, some of what I find has such a wonderful feel - mostly from coffee bean bags....I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
