Traveling Tuesday

Hello everyone,
I have arrived at my favorite place. Old Quebec City. My dream was to travel to Paris, France,  but Quebec City was a magical city and I knew it had the feeling of Paris. My favorite part of the trip to Quebec City was to see The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. It is a well-known landmark in Quebec City. With its copper roof and stone towers; travelers like me scan the horizon for the iconic roofline of the splendid Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
We traveled over the St. Lawrence river and entered the beautiful city. I called the hotel for directions and they said "go to the fountain and turn left" and we did.
This fountain is placed in front of the Parliament building and is called the
Fountaine de Tourny
We drove into the walled city and found our hotel.  In the winter the large area on the right is an outside ice skating rink...
We stayed at the Marriott...
850 Place D'Youville
Crepes for breakfast was a priority and I was delighted to enjoy the Fraises fraiches 'fresh strawberries'
I had crepes in the morning with a latte ~ sweets in the afternoon ~ a lamb shank for dinner. I don't think it could get any better than this...
We toured the city in a double decker bus.
Quebec City Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

After enjoying a lunch in the cafe at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac we watched the Ferries cross the St. Lawrence river.

In the evening we took a taxi to have dinner across the street from the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. The sun was setting and I knew my beautiful dream was coming to an end.
Restaurant 1640 occupies the ground floor of L'Auberge du Tresor. They offer a savory classial international bistro cuisine. We sat outside under a red umbrella.
I was dreaming I was in Paris, France.
After dinner I looked at the beautiful hotel sparkling in the night. And I knew I would be leaving my dream city in the morning.
Come back next Tuesday and I will show you our last stop before flying home and back to reality.
Joyously,
Betty
