Shout Out to SilverSneakers!

A Big Shout Out to SilverSneakers!

Hello everyone,
I want you to meet my new best friend.
This charming young woman is my
instructor for the local SilverSneakers fitness program at
our local tennis and fitness club.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
I started my exercise program on February 1, 2017.
My body has lost so much mobility in the last
few years, I just had to do something about my
range of motion and stamina.  I can't say enough
about how great I feel since I have been working on
balance, flexibility,

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises
designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and
activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles
and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance.
A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support.

SilverSneakers is a free fitness program for seniors
that’s helping millions of boomers and beyond defy the odds,
shatter stereotypes and answer every challenge with,
“I can do this!” SilverSneakers includes unlimited access to
every participating gym and fitness center in the network.
That’s a gym membership at more than 13,000 locations with unrestricted
access to EVERY location. Weights, treadmills, pools
and other amenities are included. We also offer fitness classes for
all abilities led by our certified instructors at gyms and at alternative locations.
The gyms are yours. The amenities are yours. The classes are yours.
 Now go get ’em!

Staying in shape and feeling good are important at any age.
That’s why most of Humana’s Medicare plans include
the SilverSneakers Fitness program – at no extra cost*.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up today
and see how much fun exercise can be.

SilverSneakers is the best thing I have done
for myself in a very long time.

This post is not a sponsored by Humana or
any other source.
I will be 76 in a couple of months and
I am also planning some traveling by
airplane and car and I need all
the strength in my legs I can muster.
Thank you for visiting
Joyously,
Betty

  2. I'm sending this post to post Dad and step-mom. they go to the gym regularly, but this looks like it incorporates a different mix of exercises. Plus, it's hard to get too much exercise sometimes. : ) Thanks for the heads-up.
