Hello everyone,
November is gone, and we are starting the most wonderful time of the year.
The four weeks before December 25th are so busy. When I saw this pie
on facebook, I was determined to make it for the holidays.
I wanted to practice baking this sheet pan pie before writing a post about
how easy it is to bake.
I found the recipe on the FOOD NETWORK.
I will add the video at the end of the post.
The pie consists of four ready-made pie crusts to make
the crust for the pie and the toppings for the apple
and cherry pie.
The recipe calls for fresh apples to make the Apple pie.
A can of Sour Cherries to make the Cherry pie.
Canned Pumpkin to prepare the Pumpkin pie.
I have a few tips to make this pie an easy way.
I have been baking for a lot of years, 57 1/2 years to be exact.
Tips:
#1 use a can of apple pie filling in place of mixing
the apple filling the old-fashioned way.
#2 I used a can of cherry pie filling in place of sour cherries, and it was delicious.
#3 Pumpkin pie mix worked beautifully for the pumpkin pie filling.
#4 The Pecan pie filling was so easy to assemble. I did find Pecan pie filling
at World Market, but it was expensive compared to the price of the
apple, cherry, and pumpkin fillings.
I love this video to show how to assemble the pie.
I love this video to show how to assemble the pie.
The recipe for this fantastic pie is HERE
#5 I had to do some piece work on the bottom pie crust.
The top on the apple pie and the strips on the cherry pie are
brushed with a beaten egg and sprinkled with sugar.
Delicious
Thanks for coming over for a visit today.
We are starting our baking,
and this pie is an excellent way for everyone
to get a taste of their favorite pie.
See you soon.
Joyously,
Betty
