How to Pack One Suitcase

HOW TO PACK A SUITCASE
Hello everyone,
Today I'm going to pack  my suitcase for my five hour airplane flight to the East Coast.
I have packed my Camera Case GO HERE and I've hung my outfit I'm going to wear for the long flight on the closet door. GO HERE I'm made a packing list of clothes I'm going to be wearing on my three week  or 21 day vacation. We will see how tired I get and when I've eaten enough Lobster. LOL
The yellow sweatshirt, gray top, black jeans and my Sunflower scarf I bought at the British Museum on my trip to England in 2011.
Sea Foam Green♥ I love this color. I bought this top a Macy's on sale. I have a black sleeveless top underneath and black pants...The pair I wore on the airplane. I wear a different pair of pants everyday. I let them air out as you say. I will wear this top in the evening for dinner. Now this is a secret...I sometimes wear it every night. We are going to eat at a different place and nobody knows me anyway.
The Autumn Leaves are falling. Have you guessed where I going yet?
I have blue jeans and white long sleeve cotton top with my fall sweater and a red scarf. How about the little apple on the zipper end. I bought this sweater in 2005 from Gottschalks. I only wear it September, October and November.
Pajamas and robe. Warm and cozy PJ's and a light robe. My sister bought me this cute robe for my birthday in June. Just to take on this trip.
This outfit is just for lounging in the evening after a day of sightseeing. I wear yoga pants and a sweater and a soft sweatshirt in the evening while we watch television or I put this outfit on in the afternoon if we take a rest before going out to dinner. I don't mind taking off my touring clothes for a little while in the afternoon and read a book or play candy crush. Yes!!! I love candy crush. Oh I just remembered that sometimes we have dinner early and then buy ice cream to put in our freezer for a snack later in the evening. I love ice cream too.
I have a light weight jacket for rain or wind. It has a hood and nice roomy pockets. I layer a sweater under the jacket and put on a scarf and I'm good to go.

My suitcase in 24 inches long. 14 inches wide and  14 high when I close the suitcase for the last time.
So lets get started packing this suitcase.
I have a nice clean pair of SAS walking shoes with inserts to prevent my feet from hurting and scarves are inside the shoes. In the zipper I have my sewing kit,  alarm clock and night light.
The pajamas and robe are rolled up over the shoes. red gloves in the corner.
Clear bag contains, blush, liquid makeup, lipstick, eyebrow color, makeup brushes, deodorant  body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste.  The other clear bag contains card reader, cords for computer, adapter for Canada,2 camera battery chargers, portable USB hub, cellphone charger.
Now we are going to pack more clothes.
sea foam top, mirror, yellow top, red top and black sleeveless top.

The next compartment has, jeans and black yoga pants, yellow sweatshirt, jacket white top, gray top and black top. The net compartment has undies.
The top compartment had my tote bag with socks, black sweatshirt, autumn and gray and black sweater.
Black easy spirit shoes and book and umbrella in the top zippered compartments.
Zip the suitcase up and wrap a strap and buckle it up.

What I Wear on an Airplane

 Hello everyone,
I'm so ready for vacation.  No dishes and no cooking...I won't even make my bed. Besides not doing regular house chores, I don't have to weed the garden. Don't get me wrong...I love my home and my garden, but sometimes a person needs a break. And I'm going to have a break.
I put together my outfit I will be wearing on the airplane trip. (5 hours at night) we will be arriving in the early morning on the East Coast.
Layering is my secret.
Long sleeve cotton top
Black light weight sweater
Scarf
Black pants with elastic waist band
Black socks and black SAS shoes-I have Plantar Fasciitis
and I need to wear good sturdy shoes when I walk long distances.
I love to have a scarf to put around my neck in case it gets chilly on the flight.
I bring my warm jacket on the plane with me.
First reason: I might get cold.
Second reason: There is no room in the suitcase.
Go Here to see how I pack my camera case and purse

Now let's get personal
My security pouch and my money belt.
I carry my security pouch with my passport in it around my neck ALL THE TIME. I never leave my passport in my hotel room. I also have my money belt around my waist pinned to my jeans, ALL THE TIME. While I was in England and Scotland I developed this habit. I NEVER LOST ANYTHING. Knock on wood. Someone would have to get me to the ground and try to find everything before I would let it go.
I say "THAT'S TO MUCH WORK FOR A ROBBER"
THEY DON'T LIKE TO WORK TO HARD, THAT'S WHY THEY ARE A ROBBER
LOL

I'm ready to board the airplane now and I need to make a list of clothes to pack.

Flag Bedroom Before and After

Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend. I love our new Master Bedroom update. I put a patriotic quilt and shams on our bed for the Labor Day holiday. And I have more than one pillow. Pillows on the bed is a running joke around our house.
When we were buying new sheers for our Living Room in May, we earned
$70.00 dollars worth of reward points from J C Penny. This quilt and shams went on sale for $69.99 I used my rewards and I just paid the tax of $6.40. The set even came in a nice tote bag for storage.
If you are a new visitor and want to see our Master Bedroom Update. Go Here.
Everyday I have only one pillow on the bed for convenience, but during this holiday weekend I have Three pillows on the bed. Oh my gosh I'm living on the edge. LOL.
I have Pillow Love and I added the flag pillows I used during the 4th of July holiday. Go Here.
When I first shared our new bedroom set I didn't share the new chest of drawers we purchased with our new bed. So, today I tried to dress up the top of the dresser. We have cable television and there is no good way that I've found to cover the cable box. Ugh!! I found some artificial greenery, a cute box saying Dreams and a cloche with a beautiful gold apple. At least I have some interesting and cute things to admire while watching television.
This is sweetheart's side of the bed. I put red roses from our garden in a bud vase. I don't remember if I mentioned when we purchased our new bedroom set we ordered glass tops from a glass company in town to protect the tops of our furniture. Sometimes we put a glass of water at our bedside and we don't want to damage the beautiful finish on our new furniture.
I love looking at the cute pillows
I put my flag pillow in my daddy's chair.
I'm having a great time changing pillows with the different seasons.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a happy and safe holiday weekend.

Betty

How to Pack a Small Carry On

Hello everyone,
It's time for Sweetheart and I to take a trip. Some history of our travel experiences. We stayed home until we were married 35 years. On our 35th wedding anniversary we made our first trip on an airplane to Hawaii.. After that trip I was ready to travel every year. Since I've been blogging I have posted our trips on "The Places I've Been" Go Here
I love to take my camera on my trips. I've tried every kind of camera case. I finally found the best camera case/purse to fit my needs. I purchased this camera case last year. It can be a back pack but I don't have the range of motion to swing it around my shoulders so I put it around my neck and it rests on my hip.
The genuine leather bag in made in the USA by a company in California.
Copper River Bags Go Here I have a clip on the side to hang my favorite travel pillow. This bone pillow has been around the world with me.
This is the inside of the bag. Roomy and sturdy to support my camera and computer.
Oh Yes, I will get all this in the bag. I had my cell phone in the photo, but I needed to answer it and forgot to put it back in the set up before clicking the photo. I also will put the camera in the bag that I'm taking this photo with. It's a Canon PowerShot SX280 12.1MP Digital Camera with 20x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom with 3-Inch LCD (Black) (OLD MODEL
I labeled the items and I will try to explain what I need in my carry on.
Inside purse A. I put four weeks of medicine, bandage, ear plugs, nail file, ear buds, flashlight, lipstick, cough drops, pencil, pad and the little bag B holds my memory cards and two flash drives. Bag B goes in the front zipper part of bag A.Next I put my Cannon camera with a Tamron lens C in the bag with the camera body flat on the bottom of the bag. The lens is surrounded with soft goods to protect it from damage.
D. Nature Bars slide in next to the little purse...Oh! There's my cell phone placed within easy reach. E. Kleenex goes in the outside pocket and H. antibacterial whips go in the other side pocket.
F. is my computer
Acer Aspire Switch 10 SW5-011-18R3 10.1-Inch Detachable 2 in 1 Touchscreen Laptop (32GB)
G Tote Bag to carry goodies after passing security.
The bag and tote will fit under the seat and I have everything for a long flight.
I. I cover everything in the bag with my blanket. Time to close and snap the bag.
I'm ready to go.
The yellow folder is to carry airline tickets, hotel reservations and shuttle vouchers.
All snapped up and ready to go.
I wanted to know how much weight I was carrying and I think 11.2 pounds is going to be fine. I've had a carry-on that I pulled in the airport but. I find the older I get the more I need two hands to keep my balance.
My leather bag will take me anywhere.
Thanks for visiting today.
Soon I will be posting what I wear on a long airplane ride and how I pack one suitcase with clothes for a three week trip.
Thank you dear friends and followers for your inspiration and beautiful words of encouragement.
Joyously,
Betty
