Hello everyone,
Whew! I can't believe I've been working(procrastinating) on this kneeler since April. It was a labor of love. I didn't want the pleasure of doing the needlework to end. It's like reading a good book and not wanting it to end. But, now I have two more to do by Christmas and I'll be hustling right along.
The dark blue was hard to see unless I was in good afternoon light. I've learned so many short cuts, that I hope I'm a little faster on the next two. To see the complete story of a Church Kneeler
Eight Kneelers are finished. As you can see they are resting at the alter rail.
St. Stephen
St. Bridget

Each kneeler is dedicated to a loved one.
My kneeler is dedicated to my mother and father.
I hope you have enjoyed the photos of these handmade kneelers.
Words cannot describe the way I feel about this wonderful artwork.
Thank you for visiting and please come back soon.
Please check out my first post on the history and devotion I have for this beautiful work.
Joyously,
Betty

ReplyDeleteThey look great!
ReplyDeleteBetty, your kneeler is very pretty and a wonderful tribute to your parents. I think every church ought to have them, handmade of course! I'm not Catholic, but sometimes we have altar calls and people can go forward and kneel and pray. Your previous post showing all the beautiful kneelers in that lovely church in England was a great post, too! Blessings to you and yours, Bess
