A Little Bit of Christmas

Hello everyone,
It's time for a Little Bit of Christmas.  When we were visiting Old Quebec City Canada on our vacation, I found this precious lamb with a tartan scarf in a boutique while I was shopping in the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. I knew it was going to be part of my holiday decoration on my Tea Table in the dining room by a sunny window.
Time for tea in my Old Country Roses tea cup by Royal Albert.
Little lamb, English tea cup and Christmas cactus is the perfect recipe
for a delightful tea table vignette♥
I am starting a new board on my pinterest with my tea cup collection. Hopefully by this time next year I will have my complete collection displayed.

I have been waiting for the perfect time to show you my
Ellgreave Genuine Ironstone tea pot from the thrift store.
This vignette seemed to be the right setting.
Christmas Cactus are so delicate.
Let the Christmas season get started now...
A mosaic to pin

Mantels to Centerpieces!!!

Hello everyone,
I'm so happy to be here today to share a few ideas with you about
Thanksgiving mantels, I was thinking you could use these ideas for a
Thanksgiving table centerpiece too. When I was looking back at these mantels
I noticed I have a theme each year and I create small vignettes on
my long mantel.  The top mosaic is called Fall Abundance.  The cornucopia
is overflowing with fruit. The different photos could be used as individual centerpieces.
In our home we have beautiful wildlife art work. Our son carved a wooden duck decoy and I love to collect plates. Fall colors look wonderful in our living room and I try to use our favorite family mementos when decorating our mantel.
Pumpkins and Turkey plates are the theme for this mantel. The little squirrels
and a plate with a pumpkin is a nice vignette or centerpiece.
This year I created a mantel with simple canning jars and jar jewelry.
My vintage plate and plenty of wildlife feathers are adding some colorful interest and texture to the mantel.
Well, there you have some ideas for a Thanksgiving mantel and or a
Thanksgiving table centerpiece.
Thank you for visiting and please come back soon.
Joyously

Getting Ready for Thanksgiving

Hello everyone,
I hope your week is going okay!  I'm finishing up my projects for the
Church Bazaar on Saturday. I did have a couple of days last week to
decorate my living room with a Thanksgiving vignette.
Mr. and Mrs. Pilgrim visit our home every year at this time.
I'm getting ready for our Thanksgiving weekend with the family. I have a large dresser in the dining room that holds tablecloths, tea towels, baskets and trays. This year I placed the dinner plates, dessert plates and glassware on top. I bought paper dinner napkins with a turkey on them.  They match the salt and pepper shakers and the dessert napkins.
Our family will arrive on Wednesday and we are planning to serve Hot Roast Beef dip sandwiches for 10 people in the evening.  Thursday we set the tables for 16 and enjoy a Turkey and Ham dinner. We love leftovers.
Friday I have a sleepover with four of my granddaughters.  They want me to take them to the mall.  The girls and I are meeting Sweetheart and my oldest son and his friend for pizza before we SPEND ALL GRANDMA'S MONEY
I decorated my cabinet that holds my white ware
with a few pumpkins here and there.
Our flat screen television is sitting on the shelf below.
As my family gather together to celebrate the precious gift of freedom and abundance I wanted to share with you a little pillow I made from a tea towel. I found the tea towel at Aaron Brothers Art and Framing store for eight dollars.
A vignette on a plant stand...I love to see the sunlight coming in the
window in the afternoon and reflecting the rays in my
French Country dining room.
Thank you for visiting and please come back soon.

Joyously,
Betty

Fall Pillow Love♥

Hello everyone,
How's your weekend going?  I've been busy planning for our
family get-together next week. The living room is decorated Go Here.
This week I decorated our master bedroom and I wanted to share my
FALL PILLOW LOVE
The three matching pillows belonged to my granddaughter and she was giving them away to the thrift store so I brought them home to use on my bed. While sweetheart was golfing on Thursday I put the three pillows on the bed and the beautiful vintage lumbar pillow I found at the thrift store.
I'm in love with my pillows
A little bittersweet wreath to finish the fall decor in my
master bedroom.
Flowers are still blooming in my garden...
St. Patrick rose and a few button zinnias make a sweet bouquet for
my nightstand.  I have a soft throw at the end of the bed.

My granddaughter gave me another pillow for my daddy's
chair.
I love the tassels on the edges in a variety of colors.
I used my mother's floral frog in the bottom of the vase and
it works so well to hold the bouquet in place.

In October I bought this vanity for this space by the french doors.
I hung my mother's pearls she wore in the 50's on the mirror.
I love my roses...
Now it's time to move on with my decorating in the dining room.
Come back soon and check out my

THURSDAY FAVORITE THINGS BLOG HOP #214

Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop #214
Welcome.
Are you ready to party?
I am!!!
My favorite thing this week is the lavender I grow in my garden.  Each year our church has a bazaar the weekend before Thanksgiving. I gather my lavender together and make bath salts adding a vintage silver spoon to the bottle. I make lavender sachets and sell bulk lavender by the scoop. As you can see LAVENDER is my favorite thing this week. If we had smell added to a blog post you would be smelling the beautiful clean aroma of my lavender right now.
To see more of my lavender GO HERE
Now it's time to get this party started.
