Fall Patio Tour

Hello everyone,

Are you tired of looking at my Fall Patio?
The Fall Patio will be changing into its winter protective

mode in a few weeks. I move all tender plants over

next to the big television to keep them from the

frosty mornings.

Each morning I walk out the back door,

this is the view of the patio I see. I love

the shadows of the morning light reflecting

on the plaid blanket table cover. With

the accents of orange and the green fern

grotto makes a beautiful setting for my

morning coffee.

The mums in the pots on the plant stand need watering

every couple of days.

The bistro table on the steps has a beautiful mum bouquet

I received from my sister as a gift when

she visited last month.

I love to add a seasonal wreath to the patio.

The patio is on the South side of our house and

it stays very toasty during the day, even if

the weather is crispy in the shady parts of

of our yard.

I added my galvanized tray and the

beautiful pumpkin to the vignette on my bistro table.

I hope you have enjoyed your Fall Patio Tour

for November 2016.

I am ready to hop into decorating the house for the holidays
in December. I have discovered as my body ages I need more time
to do the amount of decorating I love to do.
Thank you for visiting.
Joyously,
Betty

Evening on the Patio

Hello everyone,

Welcome to an Evening on the Patio.

Last month I shared with you, my

'Summer Patio Tour' HERE and I told

you I would love to share how

the patio looks at night with the

twinkling solar lights on top of the fence and the

brick walkway lite with solar lights. I was also surprised to see

I photographed the blue hour in the sky.

I love the light along the path. I feel safe now

that I have the lights shining on the walkway.

Especially when I come home after dark.

There is that blue hour glowing through the trees.

Two lanterns also light the path.

The lights across the top of the patio go out just after dark.

This fall I will take that string of lights down and replace them
next spring with new ones.

When it is completely dark, I can see the lights
on the fence through my bedroom french door.
The small sparkly lights remind me of city lights in the distance.

A soft glow surrounds the patio swing.

A candle is shining in the evening.

A candle for the bistro table.

The warm evenings of August are coming to a close,
and the cooler evenings of September will here soon.
During the fall the patio is dressed in warm blankets
and the outdoor heater is turned on.
Please come back for a visit.
Joyously,
Betty

Summer Patio Tour

Hello everyone,

Well, it's a Hot Summer day to be outside. Our patio is

ready to entertain company, but everybody is in the house.

Last week I bought a pot of nine succulents and a coleus.

The tea cups hold the plump green leaf plants and the colorful coleus found a spot sitting next to the angels in the fern grotto.

Last summer I found a twin quilted bedspread to cover my OLD swing.

I collect pillows and last year I found a picture with embroidered flowers in a vase, I brought it home and made a patio pillow. I have my favorite pillows on

my Pinterest board.

We have a swamp cooler, BIG television, and comfy chairs to have afternoon tea.

The French doors go into the master bedroom. Sometimes in the Spring and Fall

I will come outside and lay on the lounge and enjoy a good book or a nap.

I put the tea cups in a galvanized tray I found at Wal-Mart.

The plants only need watering about once a week.

I think my choice for the table centerpiece is perfect.

Sometimes I find the neighbor's cat resting on my lounge.

He knows a good thing. I even have some catnip growing

in the garden, he can rub against as he is hunting.

I have a plan to put candles all over the patio and take photos at night.

We have small solar lights placed in plants around the patio and lights hanging from the front of the patio and across our kitchen. At night it looks like far off city lights shining at night. So beautiful to see.
