Easter Tea

Hello everyone,
Easter Sunday is seven days away and I wanted to share with you my
Easter Tea, decorated Easter tree and a couple of
new vintage tea cups and saucers.
Last year after the Easter holiday, I found these bunny
plates at Barnes and Noble on clearance. I have
been saving them to use this year for my Easter tea time.
The little Easter ornaments came from Tuesday Morning
last year also. The Easter tree with the cute butterfly
I bought at the thrift shop for $4.00 dollars.
Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit
accompany
Miss Bunny Radish
and
Mr. Bunny Carrot
for some Easter tea.
I have been saving this tea pot to share with you also.
I call this tea pot 'No Name' because it has no name on
the bottom of the pot.

Thank you for visiting me and leaving the beautiful comments.
I am so grateful that Spring has arrived. I have been outside
enjoying the fresh air and planting some new roses.

Easter Chicks

Hello Everyone!
Easter Chicks
An Easter craft for your Spring Table.
These cute Easter chicks are full of beans-jelly beans! Gather the kids and make a bunch to use as place markers or party favors.

1 1/2 cups jelly beans (assorted colors)

12 plastic googly eyes (about 10-mm size)
Tacky craft glue or low-temperature hot glue

6 yellow or orange pipe cleaners or chenille stems (about 9 inch)

1) Cut each pipe cleaner with scissors 1 (4-inch), 2(1 1/2-inch) and 2 (1-inch) pieces.

24 squares yellow or white (or assorted colors)
nylon netting, 8 inch (about 1 yard total)

2) For each jelly bean chick, stack 4 of the netting squares.  Pour 1/4 cup jelly beans onto center of netting.  Pull corners of netting up over jelly beans to form bundles (this will form body of chick).  Use 4-inch pipe cleaner piece as twist tie to tightly secure tip, twisting ends to form beak.

3) To form legs with feet, twist 1-inch pipe cleaner piece around each 1 1/2-inch pipe cleaner pieces into hole of netting on bottom of chick's body.

4) Trim top ends of netting with scissors into rounded shape to form head of chick.  With glue, attach googly eyes and craft feather to netting above beak.

For a quick centerpiece, nestle the chicks in cellophane Easter basket grass, surrounded by more jelly beans.

Tip If children are involved with this craft, have all of the components in separate groups, ready for them to assemble the "chicks."

I think I need to do some beak adjustments on these Easter Chicks. LOL
PREP TIME 45 MINUTES

Pretty cute little eyes!!!

Cute little feet!

I will be using these Easter Chicks on my Easter Tablescape and my Granddaughters will be taking the chicks home as part of their Easter gift from G'Pa and G'Ma.

I hope I have inspired you.
Joyously,
Betty

Spring Tour~Featuring Bunnies

Hello everyone,
Today it's rainy in Northern California...and I have the
cutest bunny to share with you. Last year after Easter
I went shopping and found this straw bunny. I have been
wanting one for awhile. He reminds me of Peter Rabbit
in Beatrix Potter's 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' I even have some
vegetables from Mr. McGregor's garden too.
I love my white bunnies from last year.
I found a new (used) pillow at the thrift store with a little
spring motif...With my new sofa it is so easy to change
pillow for each season. I took the furry pillows and
moved the gold ones to the end of the sofa.
The white knitted pillows are flipped to the other
side and the soft white fabric is perfect for spring.
The brown pillows will be staying on the sofa for a
few more months.
Another white bunny in a cloche surrounded by spring blossoms.
On my other end table is another white bunny in a cloche
We are bunny-ized at My Cozy Corner
Nice and comfy while listening to the rain outside.

I hope you are having a good week. I am enjoying myself planning
a birthday party for Sweetheart on Thursday.
See you soon.
Joyously,
Betty
