Butterfly Spring Tea

Hello everyone,

Happy Spring. With the warm like summer weather in Northern California my garden roses are blooming everywhere. Life is great today. I've been working in the garden planting annuals and some new perennials. I have collected "Butterfly Meadow" dishware by Lenox for years. Last year I added the tea pot, creamer and sugar to my collection. This coffee pot was the very first piece I purchased on clearance many years ago.  The lid has a little butterfly on top.

While having tea at the Tuck Box Tea Room HERE.  We had loose tea and a tea strainer was used. We passed the tea strainer from cup to cup. It was fun sharing the strainer with loved ones. 

Time for some mini-cupcakes in a cloche.

My daffodils are blooming and they blend well with Just Joey rose, with the delicious rich apricot color and strong fruity fragrance.

Tuck Box Tea Room

Hello everyone,
Can you hear me scream with glee?  I've been wanting to visit the TUCK BOX TEA ROOM...in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California for YEARS. Isn't it cute?

I love the front door. Lets go in and take a look around. 

Oh my gosh it's so small. Would you like to sit at the table by the fireplace? We did and we were the only patrons inside.  It was like having our own private party.  I am so blessed.

Look at the fireplace.  As I was writing this sentence I noticed the bricks set in the mortar. They are just as wavy as the roof line. Ha Ha.

I bought the Scone mix and the Ceylon Supreme Pekoe Black Tea was delicious.

The Olallieberry Spread is fabulous.

Welcome to my Virtual Tea Room.
If you are new to My Cozy Corner,
 I occasionally visit Tea Rooms, or as in today's post a beautiful hotel.

During my trip to Oahu, Hawaii to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I treated my granddaughters and my daughter to Afternoon Tea at the Moana-Surfrider, a Weston Resort and Spa  HERE 
In the center of the Moana Surfrider's courtyard stands a large Banyan tree. The Indian Banyan tree was planted in 1904 by Jared Smith, Director of the Department of Agriculture Experiment Station. When planted, the tree was nearly seven feet tall and about seven years old. It now stands 75 feet high and spans 150 feet across the courtyard.

The Moana Hotel, also known as the First Lady of Waikiki is a famous historic hotel on the island of Oahu,  Built in the late 19th century as the first hotel in Waikiki, the Moana opened its doors to guests in 1901, becoming the first large hotel in Waikiki.
The Moana Hotel is regarded as the flagship in Hawaii tourism, and has been listed on the
 National Register of Historic Places.
 In Hawaiian, moana means "open sea" or "ocean."

Hi girls~We are sitting on the veranda. The girls are facing the beautiful ocean and I'm behind the camera running around acting like a crazy woman snapping photos for this post.  The girls were so sweet and happy  we were having tea at such a beautiful place.

We enjoyed the moana classic tea service.

The house blends were so delicious.  I chose the 'moana royale' loose tea.  Very fragrant

The soup of the day is Pumpkin soup.  We sipped the soup from the small cups.  The portion was just the perfect size for afternoon tea.

I love the crisp white table linens and the heavy hotel dinnerware.  The design on the dinnerware is so tropical and an excellent size plate to serve finger sandwiches, scone and sweet pastries.

The tomato, cucumber and olive tapenade on french baguette with boursin cheese was fabulous. The smoked salmon and egg salad sandwich was divine... The smoked salmon and egg salad is going to be a favorite go to sandwich for this summer entertaining.
  The roast beef, spinach and tomato on focaccia was amazing.

The Three Tier Plate Stand was a perfect size for our tea table.
Scones with devonshire cream and lemon curd.
Green Tea Macaroons
Coconut and Chocolate Macaroons
Mango Mousse and Fruit Tarts

I love the tea pot.  I poured three cups of tea from the pot.   I want the tea pot.

Out of this world.

*Betty's Cafe and Tea Room* # 1

Welcome to my Virtual Tea Room

I will be sharing on occasion a Tea Room I have  recently visited. I have wanted to own a Tea Room for a long time but in this real world I live in, it's just not going to happen.  

So please enjoy yourself while 

I take you to tea with me. 

Now Imagine this is my Tea Room.

While in York, just a stone's throw from York Minster was this magical Tea Room.

Of course it has my name on the front!!!

Walk in through the front door and you'll be greeted by a small shop with antique dressers and cabinets. stocked with an extensive range of teas and coffees, cakes and gifts.

 Up a flight of winding stairs there's a cosy cafe' with wooden beams, and roaring fires in the winter. A perfect place to meet friends and family for Afternoon Tea.

During my last trip to the Bay Area to celebrate my mother's 91st birthday, my sister and I took our mother to Afternoon Tea at

'Lisa's Tea Treasures'

My mother, sister and I had this beautiful dessert. Mom was the lucky one and had a candle to blow out.

The linen-clothed table is laden with china and sliver and a small bell to ring for service.  

The creamer is covered with an adorable dolly trimmed with beads and a rose on top. 

Beautiful tea cup and saucer. 

I didn't look to see the name. 

Can you expert tea cup lovers help me with the name of the company that made this beautiful tea set? 

The next Tea Room I visit I will be taking notes
