St. Pat's Tea Time

Hello everyone,
Thursday is St. Patrick's Day. I love to celebrate St. Pat's day,
because 52 years ago I had my second son on the 16th of March,
I was in the hospital on St. Patrick's Day enjoying green jello.
He is the most wonderful son and he is amazing
today...52 years later.
Lucky Me.
I love Forsythia. I have planted a shrub, but it will be a few years
before it is large enough to cut long stems to bring into the house.
My green depression glass cup and saucer are
perfect for this holiday tablescape.
Sea foam green napkin ring with my handmade white napkins
and green napkins add to the different shades green on my tea table.
While shopping at Tuesday Morning last Sunday,
I purchased these cabbage leaf bowls. The plates are
from the Martha Stewart collection from years ago.
The vintage flatware is from my great-grandmother's
collection. The spoons have her monogram on the handle.
Red velvet cupcakes are ready for my granddaughters
to consume after school this week.
Vintage L.E. Smith moon and stars is used for my vase.
We can never have to much 'Good Luck' can we?
More shamrocks...

Hope you have a Happy Saint Patrick's Day celebration.
We are going to have corned beef and cabbage dinner
on Thursday evening and plenty of leftovers.
See you soon.
Joyously,
Betty

Winter White Tea Time

Hello everyone,
Today is Monday, February 15th.
Did you have a lovely Valentine's Day?
Sweetheart and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
We worked in our garden in the afternoon.
I received a beautiful card and a bouquet of roses.
Sweetheart cooked an amazing Lobster dinner
and we watched Downton Abbey my favorite series.
I love Valentine's Day.
Now it's time to share with you my
Winter White Tea Time

Last year while on a trip to the coast for our Wedding Anniversary
I bought my knitted tea cozy. When we were vacationing in Quebec, Canada
I found the darling knitted hat in a shop at the Hotel Chateau Frontenac.
I love the cable stitch on my tea cozy and hat, so I wanted to have a cup cozy with cable stitch too.
I found a pattern on the Internet with the knitted cable stitch.
I got busy and knitted this precious cup cozy
with a vintage button closure.
To add to the sparkle of my Winter White tea I baked some cupcakes.
Sparkles on the top of the cupcakes remind me of glistening snow.
I found a knitted cable stitch plate at Michaels Craft store
on clearance for a dollar. I couldn't pass it up.
My tea table is ready to enjoy  Winter White Tea Time
I found a beautiful cable knitted scarf at T. J. Maxx and
the little white gloves I found at Joann's fabric store for a dollar.
The sun was shining in the window on my Winter White Tea Time.
I also found two cable knitted pillows at K Mart to
put in my wicker chairs.  Another cozy spot to sit on a
winter day...Looking out to the garden and dreaming of
the beautiful spring weather we will be enjoying this
time next month.

Hope you enjoyed visiting My Cozy Corner
I love drinking a cup of tea and eating a treat in the afternoon.
Joyously,
Betty

Halloween Tea and Cupcakes

Hello everyone,
Last weekend we attended my husband's 55th high school reunion in the Bay Area...We grew up in Silicon Valley when it wasn't Silicon...It had beautiful fruit orchards and wide open spaces. I'm so grateful to be living the beautiful life where I live today.
This weekend we are celebrating Halloween and I made some Halloween confetti cupcakes and a pot of tea.
My St. Patrick rose is blooming and couldn't resist bringing in a bouquet for my tea table.
The cupcakes are decorated with orange frosting and black bat sprinkles.
The tea set is CH Fields Haviland Limoges GDA France
Orange sprinkles, black trick or treat cupcake papers and pumpkin picks dress up the confetti cupcakes.
The beautiful golden color and a hint of green edge the petals of the St. Patrick rose.
A small Halloween pumpkin tea napkin is adding to the festive table.

Thank you for visiting and have a Happy and Safe Halloween Eve.
Joyously,
Betty

♥ Tea for Three ♥

Hello everyone,
My sweetheart and I celebrated our 55th Wedding Anniversary on July 17th. and we took a little trip to the coast. I will share some photos later this week. Last week before we left town I finally took the photos of my tea time tablescape. This tea time table started out to be a 4th of July tea time tablescape, but the 4th of July came and went. I took the flag napkins off  and changed the cupcake theme from 4th of July to soft pink and white.
Lets enjoy!
Tea for Three.

My cupcakes are made with a Wilton two color cupcake insert I received for Christmas from my granddaughters. A couple of days before the 4th my granddaughter came down and we mixed two different cake mixes. One white cake mix and one strawberry cake mix. We took a frosting bag and a large tip and filled the frosting bag with strawberry cake mix and filled the insert with the strawberry cake mix. We then filled another frosting bag with the white cake mix and filled the hole in the middle of the cupcake insert with the white cake mix. After baking and cooling the cupcakes I piped on strawberry frosting and sprinkled white coconut on top. Ta da...fluffy and delicious.
White roses from my garden in a vase from my mother's collection.
The tablecloth is red, white and blue from World Market. Part of my 4th of July tablescape.
I invited the granddaughters to join me for tea and cupcakes. We love to have tea and a bit of a visit. We each have a different tea cup and I gave them the cupcakes I didn't cut open to show you the inside. I ate that one.
My napkin ring is from the thrift store and I'm mixing some patterns with the blue and white napkins and different blue and white dishes.
The White Crystalline Hybrid Tea Rose blooms all Summer long.

Tea bag caddies are a must at tea time.
