My NEW~Old Car

Hello everyone,
Wow!!! I've been on a ride this past week.
Sweetheart and I have been looking for a
Classic car for about four months.
Last Tuesday we found our dream car.
Every year we have an event in our city called.
"Kool April Nites"
It's a very popular car show with a week's worth
of  'Show and Shine' events.
On Friday night is the cruise and
we drove our NEW old car for about two hours
around and around and around.
Just like the olden days...1959 ~ 1960.
On Saturday is the day long car show.
We had beautiful weather in the 70's and
we walked for four hours looking at
Classic Cars. We stopped for lunch
and drank lots of water.
I wanted to use my new IPhone camera and
I was very pleased with the photos.
While I was walking around I wanted to take
photos of cars similar to ours.
There are some real beauties.
I don't know what plans Sweetheart has about
driving our car on a trip. He has some little things
he would like to do to it before we take it
to far from home.
A new toy for G'pa and G'ma too.
Thanks for visiting.
Joyously,
Betty

Vintage Car Show

Hello everyone,
Hope your having a pleasant weekend.
We're have some HOT weather in Northern Ca. Temps are 105°.  I can't seem to get back in the swing of things since I had my Garden Tour HERE in May.
My birthday was celebrated watching my granddaughter graduate from eighth grade on June 3rd. and I'm working on my kneeler. HERE
I've wanted to share my photos of  the day Sweetheart and I went to our local Vintage Car Show the last weekend of April.
This year celebrates the
25th Anniversary of Kool April Nites
We started out early in the morning and walked. And we walked. We started a ten and walked until two. I love looking at old cars. They bring back so many memories of my teenage years, growing up in the beautiful Santa Clara Valley.
Our dear friend just bought this 57 Chevy.
Sweet

My son has a Cooper and we loved seeing this Cooper fixed up for the Mini Fire Chief.
Our son also owns a Mustang .
I love this yellow pickup

I dated in a car like this! He was a nice guy♥
The Thunderbird-not the white pickup. lol

This is so my era...John's Drive In. 1959 with the tray on the window.
Inside the auditorium were the show cars.
A Recap:
Thanks for visiting and I hope this next week I can get my blogging mojo back. I have so many things to share with you.
Joyously,
Betty

Outdoor Wednesday - A Cool April Night

Today, I'm joining Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.

Last Friday night I enjoyed a view of some of the most beautifully restored cars.   Each year in April there is a three day event where folks bring their cars to show what is was like then and what it is like now.  For two hours on Friday night the cars drove down the street and showed their wares.  I loved this collection of cars.  They were the best I have seen in a long time. And, I have seen alot of old cars.  Since I'm old.

I started dating my high school sweetheart in 1959.  We double dated with a couple of high school friends. The fellow had a brand new 1957 Chevrolet .  Every Saturday night the four of us would drive to San Francisco in his beautiful car.  We would go out to dinner on Fisherman's Wharf, then catch a movie in one of the fabulous movie theaters downtown.  What a great experience to reflect back on today.

This looks like the car.  It was red but, without the flames.  What a great time!!!!!!

Thank you so much for visiting me today.  I would like you to link back to Susan's for OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY @ A Southern Daydreamer
Please leave a comment. I would love to read about your experiences.
xoxo
Betty
