My NEW~Old Car

Hello everyone,
Wow!!! I've been on a ride this past week.
Sweetheart and I have been looking for a
Classic car for about four months.
Last Tuesday we found our dream car.
Every year we have an event in our city called.
"Kool April Nites"
It's a very popular car show with a week's worth
of  'Show and Shine' events.
On Friday night is the cruise and
we drove our NEW old car for about two hours
around and around and around.
Just like the olden days...1959 ~ 1960.
On Saturday is the day long car show.
We had beautiful weather in the 70's and
we walked for four hours looking at
Classic Cars. We stopped for lunch
and drank lots of water.
I wanted to use my new IPhone camera and
I was very pleased with the photos.
While I was walking around I wanted to take
photos of cars similar to ours.
There are some real beauties.
I don't know what plans Sweetheart has about
driving our car on a trip. He has some little things
he would like to do to it before we take it
to far from home.
A new toy for G'pa and G'ma too.
Thanks for visiting.
Joyously,
Betty

Angels NEW and Old

Hello everyone,
Life @ My Cozy Corner is so good today.
The garden is in full bloom and I'm having
a great time playing outside.
My NEW Angel is surrounded by
White Eden climber and Gertrude Jekyll shrub roses.
The Grosso Lavender stems are starting to grow.
The Lavender plants will be covered with purple
blooms in early May and I'm training the White Eden to
branch left and right.
I love the little bowl and the bird in this angel's hands.
I have five large angels, and I need one more angel to complete
my angel quest.
The reason I need and WANT one more angel is
I have six granddaughters and I want to have
an angel to represent each one of our granddaughters.
This is the first angel I bought years ago.
I love this beauty.
I put flowers in her hands
and she is so sweet.
The praying angel is surrounded by a pink fairy rose.
Next week my angel will be covered in pink blooms.
I have bought most of my angels at Tuesday Morning.
Angels kneel in prayer
 and
stand in praise.

Looking for the next angel.
Hopefully I will find the right one soon.
Thank you for your beautiful comments.
This is a personal blog and I love sharing
what is going on at My Cozy Corner.
Please come back soon.

Betty

Spring Pillow Love Before and After

Hello everyone,
It's time for more pillow love.
To see Before go here.
I have taken off the winter flannel sheets
and put the holiday handmade pillow and
sheets in winter storage.
It's time to chang up the house for Spring.
I started in the Master Bedroom
and this is the new Spring look.
I put on plum colored sheets and
king size pillow cases.
My new handmade pillow is the
heart shaped button pillow.
I did make the crown pillows a couple
of years ago.
The winter sheets were getting a little warm
and I found these soft plum sheets on sale
a couple of months ago.
I have a little heart shaped grape vine wreath
above our bed and I wanted to make a
pillow to match. Very romantic.
The pillow is made from drop cloth I buy
at Walmart. The pillow is a folded slip on cover
with a feather insert. I bought a felt heart at the
Dollar Tree in February for my pattern.
I have collected buttons for years, and
I had enough buttons to glue three rows of different sizes
and different shades of buttons on my heart outline.
The best glue I found to use for this project is fabric tacky glue.
After gluing the buttons on the pillow. I left it on
the table without moving it until the next morning.
I picked some roses for the night stand.
One of my ideas was to use this plum and white
french print pillow, but I like my crown pillows
better.  The small pillow covered with pearls is a
thrift store find.
Another look at the bed with the
bed spread covering the pillows.

This is reality...In the evening before we go to bed
I turn the nightstand lamps on low and it looks so
cozy.~

April Garden Journal

Hello everyone,
It's Sunday evening and Sweetheart and I are
relaxing while watching television.
I love to blog on my laptop at the same time
as I watch television. I blog awhile and then
play a game of Candy Crush...I'm addicted.
The garden is in full swing. I will outside
everyday this week getting our garden and
patio ready for this weekend. We are having our
children and granddaughters here for
our city's annual car show.
Now to the April Garden Journal
'Don Juan'
is showing off this year.

We've had more rain this year and the
artichokes are big and fat and ready to eat.
The day after I took this photo the artichokes were
so top heavy I found the all the artichokes face down on
ground. I decided it was time to pick them for dinner.
They were tender and delicious.

I have two 'Joseph's Coat' climbers.
My favorite Iris.
I will be cleaning the dandelions out of my iris bed this week.
My Saint
We are now in the Secret Garden.
I love the mini rose climber with
the happy blue Delphinium.
'Candy Cane' rose climber.

'Ingrid Bergman'
The day lilies will be blooming in a few weeks.
