PINK POST! I'm doing my taxes!!!

This is a re-post from last year. I'm doing my taxes, but I would rather be outside taking photographs of my Camellia bushes.
Oh I feel so much better now.
I think I can concentrate and get the job done quickly.
Hi Everyone,
I'm in the Pink today!
Are we ready for Spring?
Yes!

~Secret Garden Reveal~

Let's Take a Peek
Hello Everyone, It's soft and sweet in the Secret Garden today.
I would like to share with you what's been going on @ My Cozy Corner lately. I've been BUSY- BUSY- BUSY, planting and cleaning our garden. With the gorgeous weather we've been having in early February,
I was able to clean, prune and plant.

A Tea Party in 'My Secret Garden'
I've planted a few new roses in the flower beds and
I'm studying the " The Ultimate ROSE Book" for more ideas.
A vintage bird cage with a bird's nest is setting the mood for Spring~And a newly painted red stool.
The angel is watching over the progress of the garden.
A few candies from my Valentine (Sweetheart) and a pot of tea.

I'm looking forward to many wonderful days and evening under my pergola. When the roses are in full bloom and the warm summer nights are here this space will be a delightful retreat...

♥Pretty Thank You Cards♥

 Good Morning ~
I was in the garden over the weekend, finishing the planting of my 'Secret Garden' with roses and other spring blooming plants. I will be revealing the progress later this week.
Until then I would like you to enjoy more of my Valentine flowers Sweetheart gave me.
Three Red Roses with Baby's Breath.
I added the pink carnations from My Romantic Dinner post...Go Here.
And then I had two poinsettia plants still blooming from Christmas and added them to this bouquet.
While outside photographing the Secret Garden I added some Valentine Candy to the post.
I thought. What kind of Thank You card  would I like to receive?  I knew it would be a photo of CANDY~CHOCOLATE CANDY. The vintage dish is a thrift store find and Sweetheart glued the base on with some powerful stuff. I know this dish will be featured in many posts to come.
Can you see the poinsettia leaves?

I loved this card and had to share it with you. After over 50 years of marriage I receive a beautiful complement with some jewelry. Oh my!
Hope you enjoy your week. I'll be back soon with more pretties...

Tablescape #61 A Romantic Dinner

 A Romantic Dinner Tablescape
Bonus- A Love Story
I truly love Valentine's Day because it's the day Sweetheart asked me to marry him.
We met in the Spring of 1959.  We both sang in the high school a capella choir. One day  I looked up to the row of bass singers and I saw this darling face smiling at me.  I was amazed.  He was so cute.  We started dating and fell in love. On February 14th 1960  we drove to San Francisco to have dinner and see a movie to celebrate Valentine's Day. While we were having dessert Sweetheart gave me an engagement ring and proposed to me. We were married on July 17th 1960.
(CLICK HERE) to see our Wedding Photos.
This year we are celebrating the 53rd year of our engagement. The first 30 years while the aca children (from the movie Pitch Perfect) still lived at home we would go out to dinner alone and reminisce about our wonderful evening so many years ago. But, for the last 23 years we have stayed home for dinner.

Imagine we're sitting in front of the fireplace.  Enjoying some conversation about our date nights in San Francisco during the Summer and Fall of 1959. Sweetheart and I would double date with another couple  driving to the City of San Francisco on Friday night. We spend many evenings on Fisherman's Wharf eating delicious sea food and going to the beautiful movie theaters - being entertained by the great movie stars of the 50's.
What a fabulous experience for a couple of kids from Santa Clara. (A town of 18,000), but that was just about to change. THE COMPUTER AGE HAD ARRIVED IN SILCONE VALLEY.
Now!!!
The romantic table is set for two...

Romantic Dinner for Two at My Cozy Corner
Our Menu - Thursday 2/14/13
Sauteed Scallops
Baked Potato - Sour Cream, Butter and Chives
Caesar Salad
Raspberry Heart Pies

The beautiful glassware is from my mother's estate. The candle holders are a thrifty find. I have put the candle guards on to keep the candles from dripping on the satin tablecloth I bought at TM on clearance.
The china is 'Ralph Lauren' a gift we received for our 50th wedding anniversary.
Silver flatware 'First Love' is our wedding pattern.

The crystal vase is another beautiful thrift find.
I found this pair of silver salt and pepper shakers at the thrift shop also.
Oh~My the beauty of flowers. It's truly amazing...The color and texture of this bouquet.

This month is all about romance and flowers. I thought of red roses for this table, but the pink carnations called my name while I was shopping for groceries this week. I love the baby's breath.
SOFT AND ROMANTIC
One last look at a romantic dinner table.
I love the lasting ability of carnations. We will be enjoying this bouquet for another week.

The golden rings represent the circle of everlasting love.
I would love to share my bouquet with my friends and followers.
Enjoy!
