A Spot of Tea?

My Inspiration

When I arrived at the Marriott hotel in Glasgow, Scotland I had the most delightful experience.   A wonderful beverage center was set up in my room .  Tucked in a little space was the most inviting tea and coffee presentation I have ever seen.  I know I don't get around much.
But I love the way everything is placed.

This is the covered dish opened so you can see the inside contents.

Everything for a cup of tea or coffee.

When I returned home
I created this beverage center in my kitchen.

I fell head over heels in love with the use of the instant tea kettle in England and Scotland.
I purchased this instant tea kettle at Tuesday Morning ( oh! In July I started working part-time at Tuesday Morning) and I love it.   I need to support a Blog you know...

A black service tray from Cash and Carry works great.

A pretty tin for the cream

Little Mini Moos of Half and Half

Twinings Tea from England and some of the instant coffee packets I brought home.

Two cups from Target

A teaspoon and a tea bird

Complete and ready to enjoy some hot tea or instant coffee.

Ta Da... My Hot Beverage Center is complete.

While in London I visited Twinings and purchased some English Breakfast and a few specialty teas for My Granddaughter's tea parties.
The Royal Wedding Commemorative Blend is my favorite.

  2. I love how you've displayed your teas and service. The black tray grounds it all, and if you want to and can the whole thing to the table and serve. hugs ~lynne~

  3. We spent two months in England and the times we stayed at bed and breakfasts and hotels, I loved their tea trays. AND I fell in love with the instant tea pot and I got one as well for when I got home (ordered on Amazon and it was waiting for me when I got home) They are absolutely the best!

I like what you did and it reminds me of the ones in England!

  4. I love to bring home ideas from holidays abroad. I can just imagine how you enjoy your tea time now that you're home!
Don't you use electric kettles in the US? I don't believe there's a house without one, north of the border.

  10. Hello Betty,
great idea to make this try at home as comfortable as in a luxury hotel. I am sure it is easier to have a break with this comfy set. I enjoyed my tea time in your house very much. May I invite you for a tea, too?
    Best greetings, Johanna

  11. Hi Betty,
I found a beverage center like that at one of the hotels I stayed in and it really appealed to me. I never set my own beverage center up at home however. What a splendid idea! Thank you for sharing yours with us at Tea Time. It looks totally charming! Love the cups with the Fleur de lis on them and your little tea birdie!

    Blessings,
    Sandi
