Friendship Tea Time

Hello everyone,
Every teacup and saucer have a story.
This teacup was given to me by a special friend.
When her father passed away, she inherited four
vintage teacups that belonged to her late mother.
I am so honored to be the new owner
of this beautiful cup and saucer, and the
other three tea cups I will show you in
upcoming Tea Time posts.
They are fabulous.
This teacup was made in Japan. I love
lusterware porcelain china, and I have
several lusterware teacups and saucers.
The romantic look of this beautiful teacup with a rose
inside the cup and a long strand of pearls pouring over
the side onto the saucer.  The vintage crochet doily
was a gift.  We are still in the dark part of Winter,
and I love the frosted pine cones and my
little fir tree wrapped in burlap.
I found a little thought that matters.
Resolve to do a little reading every day,
if it is but a single sentence.  If you
gain fifteen minutes a day, it will make
itself felt at the end of the year.

I hope you are having a delightful weekend.
I am.
Joyously.

  12. Such a beautiful piece. I would love to hear how you acquired each piece and its story. That is how I feel about all the "rescued" dinnerware that I have acquired or was given as a gift. Each has a rich history. Besides the cherished story, the tea cup is absolutely gorgeous. So rich and elegant. Truly a classic piece which should be cherished from generation to generation.
