I want to share my First Cream Tea with you today. Three Ladies go traveling had Cream Tea at the National Gallery in London.
Great fun!!
'Wonderful'
Scone is a typical Scots tea biscuit baked on a griddle or in the oven taken with curd, jam or clotted cream.
It is believed that the scone is named after the Stone of Scone, whereupon Scottish kings were once crowned.

Three Ladies go Traveling enjoyed a spot of tea after viewing wonderful original artwork such as: Van Gogh, Van Eyck, Monet, Michelangelo, Raphael and Da Vinci.
The National Gallery is a true treasure of London, England.

Betty, I lived in Scotland and England for several years as a child. I loved cream tea and scones! At one point I went to a boarding school in Scotland and we had formal tea everyday! Your delicious post brings back so many wonderful memories!

Hi Betty, did you see the Stone of Scone when you were in Scotland? I once had a scone near the British Museum that tasted like a stone, but usually they are absolutely delicious and I can never get enough of them when I am over there! I must learn to make some myself! I am looking forward to your travel stories--I love hearing about other people's trips and seeing pictures! Linda
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous trip you had, how wonderful! I've been to Engliand a couple of times, but not to Scttland and Ireland...I would love to do a trip to include all of the.
