Hello Everyone!
I'm excited about my new plant. I saw this bloom in a bouquet on a tablescape from a blogger in Sweden at Between Naps on the Porch "Tablescape Thursday" about a year ago. I have wanted to buy this plant from the first time I saw it. I also love the name. 'Lenten Rose' It belongs to Hellebore's family.
'Blue Lady'
This is an evergreen perennial that flowers when the weather is cool. It has an exceptional long blooming season, and is useful in shady woodland spots under the canopy of deciduous trees.
We had a frosty night and the plant got a little frost bite.
Thank you for visiting My Cozy Corner.

Beautiful deep burgundy. Flower reminds me of a Rose of Sharon and a hibiscus. Love following your blog and love you!--T.T.

Beautiful and so unusual!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of these. I keep planting more and more blues and purples in my garden. These would look wonderful near my purple plum trees.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you located in No. Cal?
