Rose Bowl Flea Market!

Oh, the PLACES I've been!
Hi everyone,
Wow! What a wonderful day in Northern California.
Our weather has been absolutely beautiful this past week.
Southern California had fabulously beautiful weather for the parade today.
New Year's Day is always a busy in Pasadena and also at the Rose Bowl. I watched the Rose Bowl Parade this morning and then the Rose Bowl football game this afternoon.
The Rose Bowl has many other activities there besides football games. While Sweetheart and I were in Pasadena in November visiting our family and going to Disneyland. We went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market on the second Sunday morning of November 2013. The Flea Market is held around the perimeter of the Rose Bowl Stadium and it is huge...
We arrived early and the lines at the gates were already long. My son lives near the Rose Bowl and loves to visit the Flea Market just about every month. He's an expert and quickly got in line for our tickets. I was snapping photos for this post.  Check out the front gates!
Once inside the gate we walked to the entrance.
The first thing I spotted was an Olive Bucket...I learned in France, the rustic galvanized metal olive bucket-colander was originally used to collect, clean and store olives, and in some cases grapes, in Greece and Turkey. The numerous vented wide rectangular holes were used for air circulation.  $$$.$$
I love dishes...These are beautiful $,$$$.$$
Oh my gosh! I love these.
Got dishes! I was so overwhelmed I couldn't make a choice.
Now~I'm in heaven. Beautiful linen pillows.
More cute Frenchy wire baskets and pillow.
Furniture~Furniture~Furniture
I think I have owned a lot of this stuff in my lifetime...LOL
A Do It Yourself paradise...I love the wonderful furniture.
More white furniture...I loved every minute of the Flea Market experience.
So, this was my visit to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena. Hopefully
I'll be able to visit again and maybe buy some things.
Thanks for taking a look and hope you enjoyed the tour.

  1. Wow, it's a good thing that I do not live close to the Rose Bowl Flea market, or I would be in BIG trouble!! LOL

  2. It's been many years since I've been to this flea market. You just reminded me I need to go up again one of these days. Lucky you for having the chance to attend the parade. We usually only go to the post parade viewing of the floats. Wishing you more travels and shopping in 2014.

  10. Yep, you know you are vintage when your previously owned items show up at the flea market in the antique section! I have always wanted to go to that market, but since I live in South Carolina, I would have to rent a semi to take me there.

  11. So jealous of your good weather and your great flea market. I'm in cold, cold, cold, New York where today it's raining and melting the one foot of snow we just got. Icky miserable day, but its beautiful and warm inside! Today I'll be photographing my week-end finds: one estate sale and one "flea market," (really a junk store, but fun nevertheless). We don't have flea markets our way like you do :( However, I manage to find plenty to buy, much to my husband's chagrin ;)
