Oh my goodness. I have been so busy this week packing and blogging. Blogging and packing. Here today gone to Maui. I have had the best time this week sharing a tropical theme with everyone in blog land. This dessert is called My Pineapple Macadamia Nut Sundae. The first time I had this sundae was at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu, Hawaii. The center has an evening show and as a treat the staff prepares everyone watching the show this classic dessert.
This morning when I started to take my photographs for the blog I decided to set the stage before putting the ice cream in the pineapple. But it didn't work out as I had planned. As you can see I didn't work fast enough and the ice cream is dripping over the side of the pineapple. Another thing I decided to do this morning was not eat breakfast. Yes...THIS IS WHAT I ATE FOR BREAKFAST. It was heaven.
How did I make this?
Pineapple Macadamia nut Sundae
One fresh pineapple
Cut the pineapple about 2/3 from the bottom.
Remove the pineapple from the inside and save.
Place three scoops of DREYERS Rich & Creamy GRAND Vanilla Ice cream inside the pineapple.
While toasting macadamia nuts for the top. Cut saved pineapple into bite size pieces. Place on top of ice cream and sprinkle macadamia nut over the top.
And you too will be in heaven.
Enjoy:)
Hope you have enjoyed your journey this week to the tropical South Pacific. I am joining Cindy @ My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday. And Michael Lee @ Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday. Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment if you have time. And how as they say in Hawaii....Aloha
